Make Noise, Save Lives

October 21, 2020

Good morning.   Today will be cloudy most of the day with temps warming up to close to seventy degrees.  The sun will probably shine on us  later this afternoon.  I love it!  I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Yesterday kept me busy.  I did make a few calls.  One of them took quite a bit of my time,  I was trying to track down an order that I never received.  It took a bit of research and time, but I finally found that it was in a "pending" file.  Why?  I never did find out.

Have you tried reaching anyone by phone when you are looking for an order?  It's almost impossible.  Working on this call took me over two hours.  I finally got to speak to someone and told them to cancel the order.  They did.  Then I had to go online to see about ordering the items from another source.

Later, I  called my cousin Anita and we had a grand time chatting for a couple hours.  She found a new outlet for a lot of her crocheted items.  She crochets hats and gives them to the ASPCA.  They get to sell them and keep the money to take care of the animals.  It's a win win!

You know, I'm really enjoying having my cousin in my life.  She is so much like me, and we share all the same interests.  It's so easy for us to talk about things.  I am so blessed to have found her.

I have an image that I borrowed from the web to share.  With the temperatures being cold during the nights and early mornings, lots of little animals will be looking for warm places to sleep to keep out of the cold.  They especially like to climb up into automobile engines.  PLEASE, PLEASE make a noise by your vehicle before you start your engine.  The noise will cause the little animals to scatter before being maimed or killed by your engine.  This is sooooo important!

I still have a couple more calls to make, so maybe I can get them done this afternoon.  After that, it's time to start thinking about doing some laundry.  The laundry basket is over-flowing.  This used to be my favorite chore, but Covid has changed that a bit.  The laundry room is out in the main part of the house and I don't go out there very often now.  Hmmm, I'll think about it.

Before I go, I have one more thing to share.  Again, I borrowed it from the web.  It really describes my days pretty accurately.

That's it for today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I dread it when I have to make a call to any customer service department, especially since the COVID, you are put on hold, and that's if you are lucky enough to get past the automatic recordings...
Enjoy your day and visiting time with your cousin, even if it's virtual.
Hugs,

Good that finally you could cancel your order, but it is true that it is sometimes very difficult to get a person on the phone!
Lots of companies have"customer service"but you can send them an email! I hate that, I rather like to speak on the phone in person to someone, and often is easier too.

Fantastic you also had a great phonecall with your cousin Anita. That should have made your day again a bit happier.

Love that thing from the web with the laundry story. It is also very me LOL! I can restrain it but sometimes.......... pffff.

Perhaps someopne could help you a bit with the laundry? Would be wonderful.

Okay, time to relax now,
you have a wonderful day, stay safe.
Hugs

I did one of my "must do" calls. Still a few others to go. But with a little burst of energy decided to do blog visits. Take care!

Hi Edna, yes it was an on and off rainy morning and early afternoon. It's a good thing I started the laundry earlier when it was dreary because otherwise I would not have done it and today was wash the mattress pad time. Whew so glad that's done as it is a chore. That was good advice about checking no little animals are in the car engine. We park indoors so less chances, thankfully. Also I agree with your comment on my blog post about the sculpture garden and not all those pieces were to my liking either, but there were a few that were very interesting. It was great to be outdoors instead of being indoors.

And yes it is frustrating to try and get someone on the phone when you need to talk about an order. It seems I have done so little ordering the past few weeks that thankfully I don't have to chase down any orders. Now the holidays may be a different story as we will be ordering items to send to family members.

Oh I love the explanation of why the laundry didn't get done. LOL hat's a good idea about getting out cats out of the engine. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

I chuckled at the story of how the lady got so distracted. I get it. Focus is harder to maintain than it used to be. At least we know we're not alone!

Blessings to you.
