Good morning. SIL Eddie installed my new RING yesterday, and I've been playing with it all morning, trying to learn how to use it. This gadget doesn't come with a user manual to show you how to use it. It does tell you how to connect and install it. After that, you are on your own to find out how to use it.
So far, I've found a few places with information. I did find a manual but it only tells how to install the gadget. Now I'm watching for the mailman to come with the mail. I want to try talking to him using the gadget's speaker system. This part can be fun.
I'm watching the recycle bins being emptied into the truck out front. (Via my new gadget) Wow! That was really cool! Earlier, I was able to see when the fuel oil truck was here. Normally, the guy just fills my oil tank, leaves a bill and goes on his way. I never even know he's been here till I find the bill. I do believe I'm going to enjoy this new gadget.
Today I have good news!!! My last misplaced Christmas box has been moving finally and will be delivered to Audrey either today or tomorrow. Woo Hoo! The USPS contacted Audrey yesterday with the good news.
Here's an interesting article that I borrowed from the web and thought you might enjoy.
Now I'm off to do some blog reading. Till next time, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

That new gadget of yours sounds to be fun! Already you are enjoying it and it will be quite handy, I'm sure.
Oh good that also Audrey received finally her package. It took some time, but now all your boxes etc. arrived, is it not?
Today I started to clear away some Christmas decoration, I think about half is done now. We still have the manger and tree. Perhaps i will do the tree tomorrow or wednesday. The manger is last, and then in the weekend we will have to make a bit place for the working man doing the windows. But that isn;t too much to do.
Time for some tv now, LOL.
Have a lovely day,
Hug

I wanted to buy the RING when it first came out, especially since we get so many furry visitors in our yard, I thought it would be neat....I'm still waiting.
Let us know how you like it after a few months, and make sure your Wi-Fi password is secure and locked.
Been taking down a few of my decorations also, I usually leave up until the 6th January until Epiphany but this year I didn't make it :)
Happy and Healthy New Year dear Edna.

My birthday card arrived today! Thank you it is so beautiful. The hubby ordered a work table for Nick from Wayfair. UPS dumped it on the porch. Oh Lord, it looks like a gorilla got hungry and ate the corners of the box off. Hoping all is intact. UGH They want you to pay for those ridiculous extra services to protect your items. Good Lord they cost as much as the item itself. Argh.....
Today has been a trying day. We have a doorbell Ring too. Waiting to get it installed. Avery says he is going to monitor the packages left on the porch hahahaha
He told me that and a heavy pkg. arrived for him. He ordered quinine water ! Ha!
I was heading into the Dollar Tree earlier. An old gent was standing in the doorway and facing the store so I assumed he was talking to some one else. He turns, looks at me and says C'mon Forest! Hurry up! I was flabbergasted. Old coot! Beat it rude gramps! Argh.... For whatever reason old guys always give me the once over. Scram buster! Another was following me inside the store. HaHaHa! I figured he must be lonely. Sorry I am already taken!
The USPS has been slower than molasses in January. I am trying to do some catching up commenting.
Boy Oh Boy, it is sure Monday. I think I will write a post about experiences with old guys hahahaha.
Hoping your day is wonderful and you can talk with the mail carrier . YAY!
Have a beautiful week! HUGS xo xo
I love the list, I posted it to pinterest. I knew about 5 of those hahaha. #11 ah...Saturday we opened a new bottle of champagne. I wanted a Mimosa. I am not much of a drinker. In fact neither one of us indulges much anymore. But I miss the 99cent Mimosa's (limit three) at the Buff in Boulder, a really cool breakfast/lunch place. :-) Enjoy this new week! HUGS across the miles
Glad to read all your good news updates, Edna, because some days there is not much good happening. Friends of ours have the Ring doorbell and seem to like it, as it seems you do too. Of course, living inside an apt as we do, it would not be very practical for us as our mail and package deliveries are in a central, common area location. Glad that your final packages were delivered and the recipients of your crocheted gifts did look pleased. Hope that your back is feeling better this week too.
My brother has Ring and really likes it. Have fun with yours. Good news about the Christmas box. Hope it gets there soon.
