Nice Surprises In The Mail

 November 23, 2021

Good morning.   The sun is shining and it is 32F degrees.  Nippy!  Nippy!  A good day to stay indoors and wrap, wrap, wrap.  I just realized that we are running out of this month of November.  If I want to get my packages in the mail I need to get serious about wrapping.

Yesterday, a seed catalogue that I had ordered months ago finally arrived.  Wowsie!  It's huge!  It's even bigger than a telephone book.  It's chock full of all sorts of information about the plants you can grow with their seeds.

I also got a big box full of yarn in the mail yesterday.  Woo Hoo!  I set it all aside for now because I need to finish what I'm working on before I start anything new.  The new yarns are like a gift because I used a gift certificate to buy it.  And I still have some money left to get a few more skeins.

Yesterday, I put a few more rows on the afghan.  I'm almost to the half way mark.  I need to put it up though for a little while and finish my wrapping.  This month has flown by so fast!  Thanksgiving is in two days.  And December is only a week away!  Yeesh!

I realize that time hasn't really speeded up.  But when we were younger, time seemed to take a lot longer to go by.  Now that I'm older, it just whizzes by.

Well, before today flies by me, I think I'll enjoy a bit of blog reading before I get started on this new day.  So, till Thursday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Hugs, Edna B.

I feel the same way. When I was a little girl, time just seemed to go by so slow. These days, we hardly flip the calendar and it’s time to flip it again. Enjoy your day dear friend, I’ll be staying in and doing some wrapping today too. Hugs

The seed catalog sounds exciting! Although the process of growing things from seed (at least here where the growing season starts relatively late) is a little too exhausting for me. I've about given up on seeds!
