A Rather Busy Day

November 8, 2018

Good afternoon.  It's really a lovely day here in New England.  This is good for me because I had to leave early this morning to be in court again.  The last time I had to go, it was raining.

Let me explain just a bit here.  I've had to begin eviction proceedings against one of the dwarfs.  Sadly, it's been dragging along for months and bringing me down with it.  It's a stressful thing to have to do, and the stress is probably what caused me to get the shingles.

Today though, we finally have an agreement from the court to remove the tenant in question.  This person has until the end of the month to be out.  Thank goodness for that.  Hopefully nothing will go wrong to change this.

Now for some good news, DIL Janet showed up last evening after work with a gorgeous birthday cake and some goodies for me.  I know, I know, I'm spoiled (but I love it!).  Here are a couple photos of the cake.  And yes, it was delicious!

One of the gifts she brought me is a Wireless Pocket Mouse.  I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but it looks like it could be quite fun to use.

Wow, Amazon is getting really fast.  I ordered some things yesterday, and one of them arrived here today.  Actually, the package was supposed to have been sent to my great granddaughter, but it came here instead.  I'll have to call and find out what happened.

I also ordered some food items from Amazon Pantry.  This is my first time ordering groceries from them so we'll see how it goes.  This could be a plus for me.  Especially on days when I don't feel up to going out to do grocery shopping.

Remember a while back I posted that I had ordered one of those medical alert things that you can clip on your pocket or wear around your neck?  Well I can't put it on around my neck because of the shingles, so it was in my purse this morning.  I must have leaned on my purse a little too much, and all of a sudden we could hear a tiny voice saying "911, what is your emergency?"   I finally realized that it my medic alert thing and I got it and answered that I was okay and that it was a false alarm.  Oh my, how embarrassing!  But at least we know that it works everywhere!

Now I think I'll make a hot cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

My Joe used to have a medic alert. But he fell downstairs and the monitor was upstairs so it didn't help him one bit.

That is one beautiful cake! I have never seen anything like it. Wow! Happy birthday to you!

Have a wonderful evening.

HI Edna
Happy Birthday!!! That cake was gorgeous!!... Oh evictions.. indeed stressful and yes it sure could be the cause of the shingles. I hope you're doing alright with that. I have a friend who is also going through them as well. She's had them over a month now and she's about at the end of her rope..
I do hope you get to feeling better soon and I also hope you had a really nice birthday
