Happy New Year

December 31, 2021

Good morning.  Tonight is New Year's Eve.  Happy New Year to all of you and your families.  I surely hope that this new year will be a good one for all of us.

And guess what???  The package that my friend Kyra had sent to me from Holland finally arrived here yesterday.  We'll each be opening our Christmas boxes tomorrow.

I've managed to put a few more rows on the pink afghan.  I was hoping to have it finished before the new year but alas, I did not make it.  However, maybe I can get if finished over the weekend.  I'm anxious to start the next one.

Today is Joe's birthday and I gave him his gift earlier this morning.   A very large coffee mug, and a new pair of slippers.  Joe loves his morning coffee!

It's been a very busy year, coping with the various viruses, but we are managing.  Let's hope we can eradicate these viruses in this new year.

Here's an image I borrowed from the web to share with you.

I'll see you next year.

A New Beginning

December 30, 2021

Good morning.  Today is a brand new day and a new beginning for Baby Cerys and her parents.  Yesterday, she was discharged from the hospital, and this morning they will head for home.  Awesome!  What a great way to start a brand new year!

It's crunch time!  There's only today and tomorrow left in this year.  What will you be doing to finish out the year?  Most years, I like to watch the different fireworks displays on the TV.  Nowadays, I tend to fall asleep before the displays start.

There's a lot of sickness everywhere.  This new variant of Covid, Omnicron, is spreading like wildfire.  I thought this item that I found on the web might be of interest.

Another interesting thing that I found on the web is a family of adorable wooden chickens.  (Baleur.com)

Aren't these just the cutest?  I think one of these should be on every porch to greet visitors.  And yes, I did order one for my porch.  The yellow one.

As you can see, it doesn't take much to amuse me.  On this happy note, I'm off to enjoy a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Lots Of Good News

December 28, 2021

Good morning.  It snowed during the night.  However, it did not last very long.  Big fat white flakes were swirling around in the air, and then suddenly they were gone.  That's my kind of snow!

Well, I do have some good news.  The package that I sent to the Netherlands has finally reached its destination.  So now we know, packages going a distance need to be mailed super early.  Mid to late October is recommended for overseas Christmas packages.

I have more good news.  Baby Cerys may be going home from the hospital soon.  Here's a photo of her, along with a photo with her Mom and Dad.  I'm praying that Cerys is finally cured and will be on her way home soon.

Yesterday was a sort of lost day for me.  For some reason, I was just plain tired.  I did a bit of crocheting, and read a bit from a new book, but that was it.  My energy level was nil.  So far, today seems to be much better.

I worked on the crib blanket for a while.  My counting must be off.  I thought I only had less than ten rows to go to finish it.  Boy!  Was I wrong!  There were at least twelve more rows to go.  On the bright side, now there are less than ten.

I'm anxious to pick a color for the next crib blanket and then to go online and order the yarn.  I think I've decided on a color, but I'll have to wait until I pull up the web site to be sure.  So I guess that will be my project for this afternoon.

Before I leave to do some blog reading, I want to share this adorable photo of Nutmeg making sure she gets her share of Dad's goodies.

So, till Thursday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Only Four Days Left In This Year

December 27, 2021

Good morning.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  I did.  Mine was quiet, but nice.  We still have two packages travelling internationally.  I guess, eventually, they may make it to their destinations.

I really missed my little Pogo.  We did everything together.  This made it extra quiet here.  I really must start looking seriously to get another little dog soon.

Every now and then I pick up the pink crib blanket and put a row on.  I think I'll get busy and finish it.  There are only ten more rows to go.  After that, I'll finish the pink afghan.  That will finish the last of my 2021 projects.  Then it's time to start some new ones.

It's now a little after four a.m.  I've been awake most of the night, but now I'm beginning to get tired.  I'm looking forward to snuggling beneath my blanket and falling asleep.

Today, Deanne will be stopping by after work.  I can't let her in to visit because she tested positive a couple days ago.  This is just not fun!  We'll say hello through the glass door.  There are only four more days left in this year.  I'm just hoping that the new year will be better for all of us.

I found this image online and thought that it is a perfect way to start each day.

Now I'm off to dreamland.  Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Santa Claus Comes Tonight

December 24, 2021

Good morning.  Tis cold and it's snowing outside.  As long as it's only a dusting, I can live with it.  The temperature is 23F degrees.  That part I'd rather not have to live with.  I just don't like the cold!

Today is a busy day for everyone.  Folks are rushing to get packages wrapped, and some are even doing last minute shopping.  The viruses aren't going anywhere, so I think next year we should start our shopping and wrapping early.  Like maybe getting the wrapping done in October, and packages in the mail before November.

This year, the package that I sent overseas in late November has still not arrived at its destination.  The Post Office and I have only been able to track the package as far as New York.  I wonder if the Post Office is going to offer a refund of the money that it cost to send the package.  I think I'll call them again and ask.

Today I will put together the Santa gifts that go under the tree for the dwarfs.  Late tonight, I'll take them out and put them beneath the Christmas tree.

There won't be a post tomorrow.  Everyone will be busy with friends and family enjoying their Christmas Day.  I'm wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas.

Now I'm off to enjoy some blog reading.  Y'all have a fantabulous day and I'll see you on Sunday.

A Christmas Tree Made Of Dunuts

December 23, 2021

Good morning.  Only two more days till Christmas, and only one more week left in this year.  I can't believe how quickly it has passed.

Well, I did manage to get all my wrapping done.  My only regret is that the package that I sent to my friend overseas has not arrived yet.  I keep checking the tracking app, but that doesn't seem to be working.  I'll call the Post Office this morning to see if they can track the package.

You know what is sad?  I have the TV on and they don't say Merry Christmas.  They say Happy Holidays.  That's a shame.  It's been Merry Christmas for forever and now, because of a few thoughtless people, it has to be changed to Happy Holidays.  Well, not in my house!  It's Merry Christmas to you from me.

Today I have a grocery order coming.  Maybe the last one for this year.  Later today, maybe I'll try to put the last few rows on the pink afghan.  I think there's only about eight more rows to go on it.  I could possibly get started on the next afghan by this weekend.

I'm watching the cartoon program and I love all the old Christmas cartoons.  Tomorrow they are going to show a Christmas tree made out of donuts.  Really?  I love donuts.  I think on my donut tree, I'd like to have lemon filled and apple filled donuts.  Yum Yum!

On the serious side of things, folks it's cold out.  Bring your animals indoors.  If you can, make a shelter for the homeless animals.  It doesn't take much.  Just some place where they can get out of the cold and wet weather.  Remember, it's Christmas for the animals too.

If anyone is looking for a new best friend, call your local rescues and shelters.  They are full of best friends.  After the holidays, I think I'll try again to find me a new fur baby.

Now I'm going to make a hot cup of coffee and enjoy some blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Any Thoughts About Windows 11?

December 21, 2021

Good morning.  The sun is shining and the temperature is 35F degrees.  There's only eighty nine more days till Spring.

Today I hope to finish my wrapping.  I know I said this yesterday, but somehow I got side-tracked.  (What else is new?)  So far, I'm getting a late start this morning.  When I first turned on my laptop, there was a large notice on my screen.  Switch to Windows 11, or refuse the offer.

This left me quite bewildered.  I don't know if I want this or not.  I wanted the option of being able to think about it, but it was not offered.  Not knowing what to expect if I accepted, I refused the offer.  I imagine one of these days I'll have to accept it.  Do any of you have any thoughts about this?

This year, Christmas is going to be very simple.  My only decorations are my tree and a little tree on my front door.  I will chat with my family and a few friends, then I'll settle in with my crocheting and something interesting on TV till Santa Claus gets here.  Here's a beautiful image that I borrowed from the web.

I came across an interesting article on the web.  For those of you who enjoy knitting and/or crocheting, here's an idea for next year.  There's a group called Operation Gratitude.  It's asking folks to make scarves and hats for deployed U.S. Service Members.  This sounds like an awesome idea.

Now I'm going to make a hot cup of coffee and enjoy a bit of blog reading before getting started on this new day.  So, till Thursday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Heartwarming

December 20, 2021

Good morning.  Gosh, It's almost time for Santa Claus to come visiting.  I need to make sure I have apples for the reindeer.  Is everybody finished with their wrapping?  I should be but I'm not.  Alas, I mean well but I just don't accomplish what I start out to do.  Now it's crunch time.

I have to share something wonderful with you.  My cousin's little dog, Ginger, hasn't been feeling so good lately so this past weekend I told her to give Ginger her Christmas gift.  Doggies are like little kids when it comes to presents.  It's such fun to watch them and to see their reactions to their gifts.

I had made a blanket for Ginger.  All doggies love to cuddle with blankets.  Right away, she put her head on it and would not move away.  My cousin took this photo and sent it to me.  Doesn't this just make your heart swell up with happiness?

Over the weekend, I did do some wrapping but now I have to seriously buckle down and get it finished.  I'm thinking that maybe next year I should wrap as I buy or make.  Then just keep it all in a big tote till Christmas time.

Leave It To Beaver is on TV now, and after that it will be time for Perry Mason.  I guess I'd best head for the kitchen and make some breakfast.  Later, when Joe gets home from work, I want to give him some money to go grocery shopping.  He's going to be cooking Christmas dinner this week. Yum!

On that happy note, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Tossin' And Turnin'

December 17, 2021

Good morning.   The sun is shining, and according to my phone app, the temperature is 55F degrees.  However, the cold temps are on their way back and they're bringing rain and snow.  Yucky!  I realize that a white Christmas is beautiful, but I'm just not a fan of the snow and rain.

Last night was not a good night for sleeping.  Toss, turn, snooze a bit, then do it all over again.  All night.  I did not make much of a dent in my wrapping yesterday, so this weekend I need to get it all finished.  My motto this year is "Whatever gets done, gets done."

Do you ever watch the Colonial Penn Insurance ad on TV and wonder if maybe you should call and get some of that $9.95 a month coverage?  Well, before you call the phone number on the screen, do some research.  The ad is aimed at older adults.  And there's a lot they don't tell you on the ad.  I looked it up on Google and here is what I found.   (copied from Google)

Now that $9.95 a month doesn't look so attractive, does it?  Don't be taken in by the smooth talking commercials.  Always do some research before paying out your hard earned money.

I don't have a lot of news today so I thought I'd share this information about Vicks VapoRub.  It's really quite a handy product to keep in the house.  I'll have to admit, even I learned something new about it.

Now I'm going to do a bit of blog reading and then get started on my wrapping.  So, till Sunday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Time To Finish The Wrapping

December 16, 2021

Good morning.  It rained during the night, so it's gray and wet outside this morning.  Tis a good day to stay indoors and try to finish up my wrapping.

Yesterday, I finished (at least I think I'm finished) addressing my Christmas cards, and this morning they all go out in the mail.  Today I'd like to finish my wrapping and package it all up to send it on its way.  I still have a few things yet to get, but there's still a little time left to finish my shopping.

This week, I got a wonderful thank you note from Suemn, and a lovely photo.  I've enjoyed this, so I think I'll try to do this every year.

Yesterday, I had a phone chat with one of my old friends (we're all old).  She and her son are adopting a new doggie.  They pick it up Monday from a shelter.  She is so excited, and I know that this little dog is going to be spoiled rotten.  Awesome!  (image borrowed from the web)

You know, with these cold temperatures, it gets difficult to keep the mice out of the house.  I've tried everything (except poison).  Recently, I ordered something called "Grandpa Gus's Mouse Repellent."  It arrived yesterday, and I placed some of it about the house.  I'm hoping it works.  Have any of you used it?  If so, did it work?  I'd be interested in your thoughts.

Baby Cerys had surgery yesterday, and so far I've heard that it was a success.  She will need to have a few more tests while she is recovering over the next couple of weeks.  God Bless her, she's such a happy beautiful baby.  Let's all hope she gets to go home soon.

I think tonight I'll put a couple more rows on the pink afghan.  It's so close to being finished.  The yarn for the next afghan should be here by next Monday.  That should keep me busy right through the beginning of the New Year.

This year, for Christmas, I'll be visiting with my family via my Portal.  This is good for me.  I get to join in all the fun.  Once the holidays have gone by, it will be time to seriously see about getting another little fur baby.

Now I'm off to have a cup of coffee and enjoy some blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

The Perfect Christmas Card!

December 14, 2021

Good morning.  Today I have a chill.  It's 46F degrees outside, but to these old bones it feels a lot colder.  I slept patchy through the night, and then fell deep asleep early this morning.  I guess this is going to be a "nappy" sort of day.

I just checked my email, and got a bit of wonderful news.  The mystery gift has found a happy home.  This makes me feel really good.  Now I can tell you what it was.  It was a pocket wrap in a pretty "Nutmeg" color.  Enjoy it, Sue, and Merry Christmas.

Sip, sip, mmm, mmm.  Excuse me, but I'm enjoying my coffee.  I just took a short break to make myself a cup of "wake up" tonic.   Gosh, I have so much to do, and my zip has just gone on vacation without me.  About all I've accomplished since yesterday is to order the yarn for my next afghan.  Ah well, it is what it is!

Have any of the Santa Claus "helpers" come to your neighborhood lately?  If they have, don't forget to take your fur baby to see him.  You know, they have hopes and dreams too.  And so don't all the fur kids without homes.  If you're looking for a best friend, now is a great time to adopt.  You'll make a dream come true.

The mailman just came and I just have to share a Christmas card that I just got.  It's perfect for me!

On that happy note, I think I'm just going to get busy here and try to accomplish something today.   So, till Thursday,  Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

We Are Running Out Of 2021

December 13, 2021

Good morning.  I woke up around 4 a.m. and I've been busy ever since.  I worked on the pink afghan for a bit.  Then I started a new baby crib blanket.  And I made breakfast and ate it.  Last night I addressed a batch of Christmas cards and stamped them.  This morning I'll give them to the mailman.

Deanne sent me a photo from Saturday evening.  After Alaysia was released from the hospital (after the car accident)   Kevin and Alaysia joined  the festivities at the Christmas party at granddaughter Mia's home.  Deanne and Eddie were already there.  This is Alaysia, Deanne and Kevin.   It looks like a super fun time.

I don't post on Facebook, (except for music videos) but I do check it every day or every other day to keep up with what everyone is doing.  It's also a wonderful source of humor.  Here are two wonderful giggles that I found there.

I absolutely love the second image.  Anyone who has pets knows this is true.  We do whatever it takes to keep our fur babies happy.

Today I want to address another batch of cards to go out in tomorrow's mail.  I would like to get all of them out in the mail before this week is up.  And I need to place the yarn order for one of the new afghans.  I'll also try to finish the rest of my gift wrapping.  Christmas is only two weeks away!

Can you imagine?  New Year's Day is only three weeks away!   It doesn't seem possible but I checked it on my calendar, and Yup!  Time is flying!  I need to get busy here.

So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Tis A Busy Weekend

December 12, 2021

Good morning.  Tis sunny and the temperature is 42F degrees.  It's not raining or snowing, so it's a good day to get errands done.  If you have errands.  If not, curl up with a good book, or a hank of yarn and enjoy the day.

Sad to say, late yesterday afternoon, grandson Kevin and his girlfriend were going somewhere in their car,  and were hit by a drunk driver.  The car was totaled, but aside from cuts and bruises and a concussion, the kids are okay.  Thank you God.

Friday afternoon, while looking for something, I found the missing gift.  Of course.  Now that the box has been mailed, it's okay to come out from hiding!  I packaged the gift and put a mailing label on it.  Then I messaged daughter to let her know that I will be mailing the package this week.

Then as I crossed the room to get a bottle of water, I noticed something on the floor.  I picked it up and guess what?  It was the tag that was on the lost gift.  Of course!   I think I'll put the tag in an envelope and mail it to daughter.

A week ago, I bought myself a present.  My birthstone is Citrine, which is a beautiful yellow color.  One day on ShopLC, they were showing a ring set with Cherry Red Citrine.  I've never seen this color before so I ordered the ring set in sterling silver.  It arrived yesterday.  Oh my, it is gorgeous!  Here's a photo of the ring being presented on the TV program.  It looks orangey in the photo, but it is a gorgeous red.

I've put a few more rows on the pink afghan, and now there are eight more rows to go till it's finished.  I have a really pretty forest green yarn that I want to use on the next afghan, and I've picked out the colors that I want to put with it.  Now I just have to order the yarns.  Meanwhile I'll start a new baby crib blanket while I'm waiting for the yarn order.

What else is new?  Well, my washing machine died.  With a load of my jammies in it!  Deanne bagged my wet laundry in a trash bag and took it home with her to finish it for me.  Thank you Deanne.   I'll have to buy a new washer soon.  The good news is that my dryer still works good.

I was reading a story on Facebook about a dog named Max.  While he's waiting for a family and a home, he would love to receive lots of Christmas cards.  Have some fun and send Max a card.  Here's his photo along with his address.

Now it's time to enjoy a bit of blog reading before getting started on this new day.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

100 Days Till Spring

December 10, 2021

Good morning.  Tis cold.  Only 35F degrees this morning.  I'm not into this cold weather stuff, so forgive me if I start counting the days till Spring.  100 days.

Before I forget again, here's the December page from my calendar.

I got a late start this morning and one of my favorite programs (Perry Mason) is on TV now so I'm having to share my time between the TV and this post.   Today I need to work on addressing envelopes.  I did start it yesterday, but I did not get many done.

Last night I added a few more rows on to the pink afghan.  Only sixteen rows left till it's done.  I'm thinking that I might want to make a couple more baby blankets.  One for a boy and one for a girl.  For just in case.  It can't hurt to be ready for any future surprises.

I found this cute saying on the web.  This could work on some days.  On other days, a cup of hot chocolate and a bag full of Peeps would work better.

Today I need to do a load of laundry.  I keep putting it off, but now it really must be done.  Then tonight I should curl up with another bag of junk mail to sort through.  Oh how exciting!  Thank goodness today there's a Law & Order marathon on Mystery TV.

I just went out to get the mail, and oh my, it is nippy!  Tis a good day to stay indoors and do laundry.  Before I do that, I think I'm going to have a look at my yarn stash to see what colors to use next.  Playing with yarn always puts me in a good mood.  (Gee, who'd a thunk it?)

There's really no more news for today so I think I'll enjoy some blog reading.  So, till Sunday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantastic weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Attorney Vs. Lawyer

December 9, 2021

Good morning.  Today is cold!  It is sunny with 29F degrees.  Last night, we had snow.  Yup, I said snow!  Everything in my yard is covered with the white stuff.  BRRR!

I've heard from Suemn, and I'm happy to say that her package will be taken to the Post Office this afternoon.  Today I'll be addressing envelopes.  Hmmm, I wonder why I didn't do this last month so that I wouldn't be scurrying this month to get them done.

Last night, I worked on the pink afghan.  Now there are only twenty four more rows to go.  I think when I finish this one, I'll start two new afghans.  That way I'll have something to work on when I get tired of working on one of them.

I learned something new yesterday.  The difference between a lawyer and an attorney.  Do you know?  I didn't even realize that there was a difference.

I found another cute tee shirt on the web.  This one reminds me of someone.  Hmmm.

I realize that I never did post the December page from my calendar.  I'll post it tomorrow.  This will be it for a while because I did not make a new calendar.  Maybe next year I will.

The last of my catalogue orders arrived yesterday.  Somehow I forgot to order something.  I thought I had ordered it but I guess I didn't.  Now I'm hoping I have enough time to order it and get it here in time.

I did not have my coffee and my breakfast yet, so I think I'll head to the kitchen now.  After that, I'll catch up on some blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Packages Almost Done!

December 7, 2021

Good morning.  The sun is shining and the temperature is 38F degrees.  I've been busy getting all my packages out in the mail.  I have one more out of state package to mail and that will be ready today.  Now I have to get busy with my cards.

I also spent some time working on the pink afghan.  Only thirty four more rows to go on it.   Now I'll have to start thinking about the colors for the next afghan.  Maybe blue?  Or green?  Or both?  Hmmm, such a problem!  (I love it!)

Here's what I think about today.  Awesome idea!

Actually, I have a sink full of dishes to wash first.  Then I'll relax.  Deanne made shepherd's pie last night, and she's bringing me some today.  Yum Yum!  Maybe tomorrow I'll make a pot of pasta and meat sauce.

I have a stack of charity requests to tend to.  These all need to be in the mail this week.  I had meant to get them out earlier but then life got in my way.  (what else is new?)   Some days it seems that the harder I try to be early, the farther behind I get.

I found some more really cute tee shirts on the web.  Gosh, it must be a fun job designing these shirts!  These are great for the cat moms.

There's no more news for today so I'll be off to enjoy a bit of blog reading.  So, till Thursday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Only Three Weeks Till Christmas

December 6, 2021

Good morning.  Tis gray and wet outside,  The temperature is 49F degrees.  Today will be our warmest day, dropping way back down about twenty degrees tomorrow.

Yesterday, I finished wrapping and packing another box that is ready to be mailed.  Except for one big thing!  I've lost a gift.  It was here a few days ago, but it's not here now.  Hopefully it will show up somewhere, someday.  Meanwhile, the box has to be mailed without it.  Christmas is less than three weeks away.

Friday, I spoke with my doctor about the Watchman.  He's referred me to see another doctor (in February) who will help to decide if this is a good option for me.  Then it's a matter of whether or not the insurance will cover it.

Of course, the Covid virus situation also plays a big part in these decisions.  Hospitals are cancelling all non emergency surgeries because they are running out of bed space due to the virus.  I'll just have to wait and see what the next few months bring.

It's time for me to get started on this new day.  To Suemn, please email me at pogosma@gmail.com.  My internet cut out for a while a couple days ago.  I don't know why it happened, but only a couple of personal emails have come through.

Here's a cute image I found on the web.  It's how I feel lots of days.

So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe.  Get your booster shot.  Have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Lots Of Peeps

December 5, 2021

Good morning.  Tis sunny and cold.  I just realized that I never put up the December page to my calendar.  I'll try to remember to do it tomorrow.  Winter officially starts in less than three weeks, but the cold temps tell me that it is already here.

Yesterday was a busy day spent getting rid of some junk mail.  Today I need to spend my time wrapping and packing up my last mailer box.  Plus, I want to go through all my charities and make sure I've made out my gifts to each of them.

Speaking of gifts, I never heard from the person whose name was picked to receive the mystery gift.  So, we pulled another name.  Suemn.  If you send me your address, I'll send you the package.  Otherwise, I'm going to donate it.

Today there is another Law & Order marathon on TV, so that's what I'll be watching between wrapping, packing and writing.  Joe will be putting up the Christmas tree in the house, so I'll be going out there later to see the tree.  It's beginning to look like Christmas around here.

Have you noticed all the new Peeps this year?  Deanne brought me some Gingerbread Men, Boots and Snowmen.  Of course, I already ate them all!  The top package looks funny because I had already eaten the Peeps before the photos were taken.

The latest update on Baby Cerys is that she is on her way to the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia.  Her mom and Dad are too.  I'll know more when everyone gets there and gets settled.

I'm behind on my blog reading so I want to catch up on that today too.  So, let me get started on this new day.  Till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Strange Weather

December 3, 2021

Good morning.  Tis sunny, windy and 40F degrees.  During the night, we had some strange weather.  It was dark and quiet, and then all of a sudden the rain came pouring down.  This was followed by a large burst of lightning and then a very loud BOOM!  Thunder.  Within a few minutes, it was all gone.  Strange.  Very strange.

Today's post will be short.  In a little while I need to be getting ready for my doctor appointment.  I hope this is the last one for at least a few months.  I think two visits a year should be enough.

Ever notice how hard it is to change old habits?  I found this picture of the "original seat belt."  You know, I still do this sometimes when I'm driving.  I'll bet some of you do too.

You know, I was thinking about that piece of mail that keeps coming back to me.  What if I were to peel the address label off an envelope sent to me by the intended recipient, and tape it to the front of a new envelope.  I wonder if it would get delivered.  Hmmm.

I'm watching Perry Mason on TV.  You know, some of the acting on these old programs is so noticeable.  But I suppose that's part of the enjoyment of watching these re-runs.

Now I need to get busy and have breakfast, and then start getting ready for my appointment.  So, till Sunday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUDREY

December 2, 2021

Good morning.  Yesterday was daughter Audrey's  birthday.  Unfortunately, the gift that I had ordered and had shipped directly to her never arrived.  Bummer!  I never had trouble with Etsy before, so I did not expect any now.  Today's project will be to try to hunt down the missing package.  Aside from that, Audrey I love you and I wish you many more happy, healthy birthdays filled with love and happiness.

Have you ever seen a blue orchid?  I have not and they are beautiful.  Audrey received one yesterday, and sent me this photo to share.  Gorgeous!

Guess what?  Remember a while ago how I got a piece of mail returned to me as undeliverable?  Well, I put it in a new envelope (the whole thing) and remailed it.  Yesterday it came back to me a second time.  I've sent  a photo of the envelope to the intended recipient (email) to see if maybe she can tell me what I am doing wrong.

To answer your question Steve, no I did not dress like the lady in the picture when I did my laundry.  However, at one time, I did try to copy the beautiful women in the TV ads and do my housework while I was all dressed up and enjoying a cocktail.  Sad to say, the Southern Comfort got to me, and the housework did not do itself.  Lesson learned.

Yesterday was quiet here.  I did put a few more rows on the pink afghan, and I found a new ad for a new antidepressant.  I'd sure like to get me some.

Today I have a few blogs to get caught up with, and that's where I'm heading now.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.
