Good morning. Goodness, I'm getting a really late start today. I didn't sleep much during the night, so this morning when my eyes wanted to close, I let them. And I fell right to sleep.
Being retired does have some advantages. Being able to sleep whenever you want to is one of them. Actually, about the only things that have time specifics are doctor appointments. Pretty much everything else is on a "whenever I feel like it" schedule.
Today, I thought I'd check out another food service. Daily Harvest. Only problem was that unless you picked out a program and signed in, you could not have access to any information. That's sad. How do I know if I want to sign on to a program unless I can see what it has to offer? Sad to say, a lot of programs are set up that way.
Last night I did a bit of catalogue shopping. And guess what? I've purchased my first gift to put away for next Christmas! And I found a cute gnome figurine for Deanne's yard. The beer steins are solar, and they light up at night.

Those garden gnomes are so cute and being solar is a neat idea. I know Deanna is going to love it. Have a good weekend Edna. I plan to stay mostly inside this weekend and get some book reading done as we have snow falling now and into the evening hours.
Sure retirement has it advantages and have some sleep whenever you feel like it, is one of them.
I didnt have a lot of sleep during the night so I too slept a bit longer this morning.
Those two gnomes for Deanne are fantastic.
And I have to say you are real quick with already a Christmas gift in the closet waiting, hahaha
It is indeed best not to leave papers of any kind in the car and have the necessary documents as copy with you in a pocket or so. Ideantity thiefs are so clever and get information out of anything I think.
Frustrating not to get any information before you sign in with those meal deliver services. You just will have to find one that gives info without having to sign a thing.
Have a lovely day,
Hugs
Kyra
Hopefully, you will be able to find a meal delivery service that you like, Edna. I agree that it can be frustrating that you have to sign into a site before seeing what's offered. The advice about the car registration was interesting to read, but would the same apply to your insurance card as well? And while it's helpful to read that a copy would be acceptable, what would happen if you didn't have that with you, although I'm not sure how that would occur.
Edna,
Don't sign up for any meal service just yet. Karyn has a friend who uses one and they get together and cook the meals and I will explain to her that you don't like the fussy meals, I will call you. You have to be careful because a lot of these meal services trap you in with the free trials and I will call you and tell you what we have learned. I have not heard of the ones you mentioned but w
I will check them out.
I have not been to sleep and cant rest. I have my voice back. I lost it with this darn cold but I can talk a little now.
Hugs my sweet friend. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
Oh yes, retirement has some really good things that I have enjoyed for 20 years. I haven't tried the meal services but know others who use them. Thanks for the tip on the vehicle registration in the car, that's exactly where mine is. I will have to fix that:) Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS! Stay warm and cozy!
