It's Snowing!

January 7, 2022

Good morning.  If you've been watching the news, then you know it;s been snowing here.  I woke up early, around four a.m., to this.

And it hasn't stopped yet!  Everything outside is covered with the white stuff.  I don't know how much is on the ground, but there is at least eight inches of snow on top of the hedge outside my window.

My cold still lingers, and I rest a lot.  Every now and then I crochet a bit.  Mostly I just drink fluids and rest.  I'm waiting for my last yarn order to get here so that I can work on the new afghan.

My hands get so antsy when I don't have projects to work on.  Maybe I could start another new afghan.  That way I can work a little bit on each project until they are both finished.  Yup, sounds like a plan.

One of the things that I got for Christmas was a subscription to "Freshly."  They delivered cooked meals to you.  My first delivery should be coming soon.  I'll let you know how it is after the first week.

Now I'm going to do a bit of blog reading and then settle in with some Law & Order reruns.  So, till Sunday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Sounds pretty great to not have to cook! The snow is pretty if you don't have to be out in it.

hi Edna, it's snowing here in nashua, NH, as well and our first snowfall is lovely especially as we are safe and warm indoors with a crockpot of stew for dinner tonight. Rest up and feel better and stay warm and cozy inside, as I know you will be doing, my friend.

We only had a few inches of snow and by January standards it's not too cold, but I needed a heavier coat when I went out earlier. Now I'm in the house drinking coffee and enjoying blog visits. Take care and stay cozy.

I was cold to the bone yesterday just looking at our snow here in Pittsburgh. I soaked in a warm bath and was super snug and comfy all night! Headed there soon again tonight! HUGS!

Poor Edna, still the lingering cold. Not great. And then it is snowing too! Well, you don;t have to go out, so then it is a pretty sight for a while.
Delivered cooked meals can be a big help and often they are quite tasty too. Curious to know how yours are.
Take care and stay warm, and if it lasts too long that cold perhapsyour doctor can help with some medicin.
Hugs
Kyra

Hi Edna, Rest and stay warm. A delivered cooked meal sounds like such a treat doesn't it? I had to stock up on food at the grocery store today as my nephew is taking a training course 2-1/2 hours from his home this coming week and he will be staying at my house for 4 nights. You know how young 20 year olds can eat:) Oh, and you don't need to send the snow or cold here. We already have enough. ha!

Hi Enda

Oh I miss the snow.. I don't miss having to have it removed but I do miss seeing it and walking in it when everything is so peaceful and quite. It makes everything look so pretty until about day 3 when it turns to muddy slush...LOL..

I'm sorry you're still feeling under the weather.. I pray that you will feel better quickly. I am like you as well, when I don't have a project on my hook it's like I don't know what to do with myself...LOL... I went online last week and found an organization that has many many chapters all over the country and they accept hats and blankets of all kinds that are then given to cancer patients in hospice and hospitals etc. so I've begun making chemo beanies. When they are done I will wash them, package them and mail them out..

I hope you are having a nice restful Saturday..
