A Moon For Every Month

January 8, 2022

Good morning.   Tis gray outside, cold and 33F degrees.  Brrr!  All the snow has been shoveled away thanks to Mike and Joe, two of the dwarfs.  Yesterday was my friend Kyra's birthday.  I hope your special day was awesome.  Happy Birthday Kyra.

There's not much new here.  I still have my cold.  I drink a lot of fluids and rest a lot.  To be honest, it gets boring after a while.  Now and then I do a bit of crocheting but I can't really concentrate on it for very long.  Spring is still seventy days away. Sighhhh!

As to the meals from Freshly - So far, I've eaten the Sausage/Baked Penne - this one was good,  and the Oven Baked Chicken/Florentine - this one was not so good.  Of course, this is just to my taste buds.  I don't normally eat fussy food.  I like my food plain.  No need to cream it and mix it with other foods.  I'll try another meal later today.

For those of you interested in the full moons, I borrowed this chart from the web.  It shows all the full moons for the whole year.

There's a Law & Order marathon on TV today so that's what I'll be watching.  And maybe putting a few more rows on the crib blanket.

That's my news for today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hmmm, my comment didn;t get through. Sometimes happenes and is very annoying.
Let's see if I can reproduce what I wrote.
You will get rid of that cold soon now.
Good that the meals were more or less tasteful. Do you have possibility to choose what you want or do they just deliver a thing every day? If ou can choose, in some time you can find certainly things you like to eat. And it is so nice you don;t have to cook yourself.
When not feeling so good it is good to have some programs on tv that you like. And yes, energy and concentration lack a bit, certainly for chrocheting or knitting wneh you have a cold. Let's really hope you will get rid of it very, very soon.
Grab one or two fleece blankets. wrap yourself in them to stay really warm hahaha.
Hug
Kyra

Thanks for your thoughts on Freshly. I've been debating getting it, but not sure that it would be worthwhile for me. It's cold here today, too, but I'm going to bundle up and get some errands done. Keep cozy!

I appreciated reading your comments on those pre-packed meals, Edna. While we have never tried them ourselves, there are many other residents here who get them delivered according to what I've seen in the package room. Even though cooking can get tiresome some days, I con't think I would like the meals you described so thanks for the reviews. And, I hope you will be feeling better soon, my blog friend.
