Yesterday Was My Lucky Day

It's 3:30 in the morning, and all is quiet here at work. I cannot tell from looking out my window just what the weather might be later today, (it's quite dark out) but at some point, the rain will be here. But after that glorious day yesterday, we can deal with a bit of wet stuff.

On my way home yesterday morning, I just had to pull over and take some photos of the lilacs that are beginning to bloom everywhere. Somehow they know that Mother's Day is just around the corner, and every year, they bloom for Moms all around the country.

Look at this photo. I have inserted a close-up in the corner. Now tell me, can't you just almost smell that heavenly aroma from these lilacs? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!

Next stop on my way home was at a Walgreen's Pharmacy. They were advertising some perfumes on sale, and one in particular caught my eye. The name was quite intriguing, and the mauve coloring and the shape of the bottle did me in. Now I'm usually a one-note perfume person, but this one I had to stop and have me a sniff.

This was also my lucky morning. The sale was for $10 off a bottle, and this perfume was priced at $32.99. Not bad!! I asked the salesgirl if I could smell the perfume, but she could not open the box it was in. The supervisor came over to help, and immediately noticed that it was priced wrong. It was supposed to be $49.99. And she did get the box open so that I could sniff the perfume.

Oh dear!! This was quite nice!!! But the best part was that they had to honor the lower price and give me ten dollars off that for the sale. So now I got the perfume for $22.99.

So even if I do look like a garden gnome, I'm going to smell awfully good. Eat your heart out Tina Turner!!

When I get home this morning, I need to call Tootsie's doctor to see if the test results have come back yet. She seems a bit more comfortable now that she has been taking the antibiotics and the pain meds. In three days, she has only peed on one scatter rug. Good Girl!!!!!
