Oh what a pretty morning we have today. It's sunny and not too cool. A perfect Autumn morning. And the nice part? We still have fabulous colors on the trees, and the roses are still blooming. Could we ask for more?
Today is Laura Jean's birthday. She's 47 today, and has the most beautiful smile. Laura is my youngest, and the one who lives in a pediatric facility. Because she was a child when she went to live there, she can stay there her whole life. We are so lucky because it is one of the best facilities in the country.
It's also my day, so this morning Pogo and I had scrambled eggs and green peppers with bacon for breakfast. In a little while, my daughter Deanne will be coming by with my two youngest grandchildren (hers) and two of my great grandchildren. What a great way to start my day.
Last night I played around a bit with black and white photos. My friend, The Queen Jester, has inspired me with her photos. Actually, she was talking about photos in shades of gray, and I must say they really are pretty. Here's one of the Mrs' birthday lilies. It was a beautiful Mauve color until I tweaked it in Photoshop.
I also have a soft photo that I took of a mum with my macro toy. I kind of like taking these wicked close ups. They give me great ideas for new textures. I did make a new texture freebie for you, but I'll be posting it tomorrow. I still have to wrap it up and get it uploaded.
Yesterday, I almost bought me a tablet from the Shopping Channel, but last night I found the exact same tablet in the Walmart and Best Buy flyers for $100 less. Imagine!! I think I'll go to the store this week and have a look at the tablet. New tecky toys always interest me.
Now I must get going because my company will be here soon. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulously happy day.
Hugs, Edna B.
