What Day Is Today?

 September 17, 2021

Good morning.  It's early, not even daylight yet.  My phone app says that today will be cloudy with maybe a little shower later this morning. and temps in the sixties.  Yesterday was a very restful day, and last night was a good sleeping night for me.

I did boil the eggs in the new gadget, but I did not shake them up and crack all the shells.  Instead, I put the boiled eggs in a bowl and put it in the fridge.  By then I was not in the mood for the egg salad.  However, I will make the salad today.

You know, on TV, cooking and peeling these eggs looked so easy.  In reality, after reading the instructions, you find that after the eggs are cooked, now you have to take the gadget to the sink and run it under the cold water for two minutes (waste of water) and then you put the cover back on and begin the shaking for two minutes.  Why didn't they show all of this on the TV?  Hopefully, if these eggs are fully cooked, I'll peel them the old fashioned way and enjoy them.

I found an item online about Xylitol (toxic to dogs) and thought I should share it with you.  It seems that Xylitol is now being sold under a new name.  BIRCH SUGAR.   It is STILL TOXIC  to dogs.  So please look for this on the contents label of items, especially Peanut Butter and Ice Cream.

Yesterday, I did manage to put a few rows on each of my crochet projects, and I'll do the same again today.  If I keep this up, they should all be finished soon.  I've also started a mystery project, but we'll talk more about that some other time.

I found a very interesting place online where you can order some awesome personalized mugs.  It's web address is 64HYDRO.COM.  There is something for everyone there.  Have a look.  I think I'll spend some time this afternoon looking at all their items.

Another interesting item that I found was this wonderful tee shirt.  I had to laugh because it really suits me to a tee.

It's a bit early to do my blog reading (lots of you folks aren't up yet)  so I think I'll head on over to the kitchen and make some breakfast and a cup of coffee.  Before I do, let me share one more item that I found on the web.  It gave me the biggest chuckle.

Here's wishing you a mosquito free day.  So, till Sunday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

LOL @ the mosquito trap. Interesting information about xylitol! Fortunately we don't buy many sugar-free foods and it seems that's usually where xylitol is found.

Poor mosquito! It's a good laugh.
You know, i think boiling eggs the old fashion way takes about the same time, most of the time they are good and peeling, well, you can also lay them for a few minutes in some water with a few icecubes, the peeling will go rather well then too.
That t-shirt with that texte is hilarious and would suite me well sometimes. I have days I have the wrong day in mind hahahaha.
Nice you had a good night sleep. That always feels better, isn;t it?
I'll make today two sandwiches with strawberries on one(with a lot of caster sugar, oh so bad) and another with....... a boiled egg. It's our easy day today for supper.
Have a wonderful day, have fun checking out the sight with the mugs(and certainlt you will get sidetracked to something other wonderful)
Big hug
Kyra

I will have to try the mosquito trick😉. I have found the perfect way to boil eggs. Bring water to a boil with the eggs in the pan, turn off, leave on the stove, cover and set a timer for 17 minutes. Wah-lah and yum🥚 Enjoy your day dear friend. Hugs
