Happy Doggy!

September 5, 2021

Good morning.  Today is gray with temps in the sixties, possibly seventy.   We may even have a few rain showers later today.  That is according to my phone app.

Yesterday was weird.  It was one of those days where I just couldn't seem to get out of my own way.  Ever have a day like that?  You're hungry, but you're not.  You're tired, but you're not.  Nothing seems to please you.  Thank goodness these days don't come along very often.  Eventually, I settled down and did a bit of crocheting.

Today I think I'll make a meat sauce.  I'm having a yen for some pasta.  Actually, just thinking about it is making me hungry.  Now I just have to decide whether to have macaroni or spaghetti.  Sighhhhh, such a decision!

Remember the doggie bed that I had ordered and sent to my cousin's dog, Ginger?  Well, the bed arrived Friday afternoon, and Ginger immediately knew that it was for her.  She hopped right on it and sprawled out.  She was a very happy doggie!  This is the photo that my cousin sent to me.

I've never seen Ginger.  My cousin said that she weighed twenty five pounds, so I ordered a bed for that weight.  The bed could be bigger, but Ginger is happy with it the way it is.  I have a soft spot for animals.  Seeing them happy makes my heart happy.

I found a really beautiful photo on the web and borrowed it to share with you.  The photographer's name is Dean Mason.  I wonder what kind of babies these are.

Nature is amazing.  Can you imagine the time it took for their Mother to build this warm, safe cocoon that would keep the babies safe until they were big enough to come out and explore the world?  Could you or I do this?  I think not.

Now I'm off to watch some Law & Order on TV.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Ginger looks to be a happy dog on the bed.
Oh, days like you had yesterday are aweful. I am not having them often, but it occurs.
The babies in the nest could be from a harvest mouse or dwarf mouse. They seem to make a nest in grass on about 50cm height from the ground. They are cute.
Do you also like other sorts of pasta? There are so many different ones, I think they almost all taste good.
Have a wonderful day, and enjoy your pasta.
Hugs
Kyra

Ginger looks like the bed is just perfect. Makes me happy too! I love cats and dogs. That cocoon is amazing. I have not seen one like that. I bet your pasta dish made your home very fragrant. Do you ever watch America’s Got Talent? Sometimes I enjoy that. Glad you decided to do mor crocheting, you certainly are talented. Wishing you a pleasant evening,

Ginger seems like she loves that new bed. What a good cousin you are buying such a sweet gift for Gonger. I hope you have a blessed day.

Ginger looks so happy! I think those little critters in the remarkable nest are field mice? Just a guess.

Your cousin’s dog, Ginger, does look very content in the new bed. Kudos to yiu again, Edna, for your thoughtfulness.
