Getting The Booster Shot

September 24, 2021

Good morning.  Today is overcast with temps in the seventies.  My phone app says it will be raining on and off most of the day.  Hmmm, well we could use a bit of rain.

It's really quiet around here, and not much is happening.  Yesterday when Deanne stopped by, we checked whether the booster vaccine shots would be available and where to get one.  Then Deanne went online and made me an appointment for this afternoon.

In a little while, I'll get dressed so that I'm ready when Deanne gets here. When I get my shot, I'll ask if the Flu shot is available and whether or not I can get that too.  If not, I'll see about getting it next week.  That should help to keep me virus free for a while.

I had a nice long phone call with my cousin Anita.  She is such a funny person and we had some good laughs.  While we were chatting, I decided what to do with some of the new Merry Multi (Christmas colored) yarn.  I'll make a doggie blanket for her little dog Ginger.

I started the blanket, and it really is pretty.  I'll take a photo to share as soon as it a bit bigger.  My Pogo had tons of fuzzy blankets.  I gave lots of them away and I still have lots of them left.  If I don't get another little doggie soon, I'll fill up another big bag with these blankets and give them to an animal shelter.

Last evening, I read a bit more of my new book, Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker.  It is "A sweeping historical novel that illuminates the extraordinary relationship the two women shared, beginning in the hallowed halls of the White House during the Civil War and enduring almost, but not quite, to the end of Mrs. Lincoln's days." (excerpt from the back cover of the book)

Now I'm going to enjoy some blog reading.  First, let me share this happy image that I borrowed from the web.

So till Sunday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Don;t know if the booster shot really ads a lot, but if it's there, you take it. Yeah. I am thinking also about the flu shot, I hope we will get an invitation for it soon from our doctor(I guess, it will not mess with the covid vaccine?)
It is real hard for you to find another doggie, isn't it?
If not I bet the shelters will be happt with all your fuzzy blankets.
The doggie blanket you are making now for Gnger should be looking great in Christmas time.
Have a lovely day, have a good laugh with Deanne during the ride to the booster shot, hahaha, keep safe.
Hugs
Kyra

Years ago I read a book about Mrs. Lincoln, it may have been this one you mentioned. She was an interesting personality. Biographies can each us a lot about life and human nature.

Enjoy your weekend.
