Don't Forget Your Pets!

September 13, 2021

Good morning.  Tis gray outside, but it's early yet.  Not quite seven o'clock.  The weather forecaster says we'll get some sun today with temps in the seventies, and maybe some showers.  Let's pray for the folks (and animals) in Texas and Louisiana and other Gulf coast areas that are being hit by Tropical Storm Nicholas with huge amounts of rain.

If any of you are in these storm areas, please don't leave your pets behind when you leave to find safer areas.  They are family and they would never leave you behind.   (image from web)

I guess we're going to get our rain showers sooner than we think.  Everything outside is already wet and there are fallen leaves all over my driveway.  Sort of gloomy looking.

I have the cartoon program on (TV), but there is so much nonsense going on between showing the cartoons that it takes away from the fun of watching the cartoons.  Some folks just should not be making up the programs for children's viewing.

Today I think I'll maybe do a load of laundry and then work on my crochet projects.  I do a few rows on each project, then start over again.  Meanwhile, I'm trying to finish some of my holiday shopping online.  It's just not the same as being in the store and seeing things up close and personal, but I'm trying.

One of the new stamps that I had ordered came in the mail a couple days ago.  They are birthday stamps and they are really pretty.  They're on a sheet of twenty stamps.

Yesterday, Kevin's baseball team, the Tigers, won this year's championship.  Three years in a row!  Congratulations, guys.  Great job!

And yes, that photo of Deanne and her friend Caroline was published in yesterdays newspaper, along with four other photos from the local Freedom Walk.

Leave It To Beaver is on TV now so I'm going to make a fresh cup of coffee and enjoy watching the program.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Ddn't make it to the computer yesterday evening, so had no comment for you ,ssorry.
Lovely that the photo of Deanne and friend was published.
Oh so happy for you that the concentrator finally was brought and that all works fine now and that your breathing is already uch better.
I hate all the commercials in between programs on tv, it breaks up the story line and is annoying, but we;ll have to live with that I am afraid.
Yes, congrats to Kevin and his team. Great job.
So you are really busy with older crochet projects finishing and making new with the new yarn. Good for you!
Have a wonderful day, stay safe
Hugs
Kyra

Birthday stamps -- what a cool idea! I wonder why they never printed those before? (At least not that I ever saw!)

It is raining lightly and cool up here. Lovely day.
The cartoon network seems more for adults to me.
Have a great week. :)
