April Showers

April 25, 2021

Good morning.  Today we have cooler temps and April showers.  There are new green leaves on trees and little flowers popping up everywhere.  It's looking very much like Spring.  It's time to think about planting tomatoes.  I can't tend to a garden so the only veggie (or fruit) that I'm going to plant is a tomato.

Deanne and I have decided that this year we'll start with good sized plants.  She will be planting hers upside down, and I'll be planting mine right side up.  I already know who will get all the tomatoes!  Meanwhile, here's a nice shot of my orange tulips.

This weekend I asked Deanne to model my pocket wrap so that I could share it here.  What do you think?  Isn't this pretty?  It's so comfy and the pockets are big enough for your phone, keys and tissues.

I have this yarn that I bought to make a pocket wrap, but I don't really need two of them.  The yarn is a weird green color called "Lufta."  Now I'm not sure what to make with it.  I do like the green color, but it doesn't go with everything.  Hmmm, I'll have to give this some thought.

Last evening, Deanne and some of the ladies that she works with got together for a tie dye party in Deanne's backyard.  Along with the tie dye, there was lots of beer and Jello shots.  Yup, a good time was had by all!

Today will be another lazy day for me.  I'll put a couple more rows on the yellow baby blanket and then after that, hmmm, I don't know.  I'll just have to see what comes up then.  I know what I'd really like to do.  I'd like to order a pizza.  Hmmm, maybe I will.

On that thought, I'll take my leave and do some blog reading.  So, till next time, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Yup, it is a good idea to buy good sized plants for the tomatoes. You won't have to wait too long before some tomatoes appear and it is easier than sowing yourself(with not always success).
Deanne is a good model and the wrap looks pretty. I think you will have some good use of it when you spent time on the porch.

Hmmm, pizza, sounds like a genius idea!

Have a tasty meal and a wonderful day.

Your pocket wrap looks so warm and comfy. You are so talented! I think you deserve a pizza tonight and I hope you do order one to treat yourself.

One year I decided to buy large tomato plants, but by the time I went to buy them the garden centre had sold out - and too late to start any from seed. When I used to work with disabled youngsters some of the girls had things very like your wrap; it just went around their shoulders and fastened up in front to give them an extra layer when they were out and about in their wheelchairs.

Good morning Edna!
Your tulips are beautiful and I LOVE the pocket wrap! Do you happen to have a pattern for that you could share? I'd love to make one for myself. We had cooler temps with rain this weekend and now this weekend summer is arriving here in SC we will be in the high 70's and lower 80's...Have a good day today Edna!
