A Bit Of Photo OverLoad

June 25, 2019

Good morning.  I've been up a while but I've been busy downloading photos and cropping them.  My little laptop is as slow as cold molasses.  Little by little, I'm being forced to use my new laptop.  I've been trying to hold out as long as I can, but I guess the time has come.   Sighhhhhh.......

Today I have photos from the other day to share.  I love watching the birds and little critters.  Nature is pretty awesome.  This is probably photo overload, but enjoy.

Today started out sunny, but now the clouds are moving in.  My weather app says we have rain coming for most of the day.  After that we have some rather warm temps moving in.  Oh yuk!  I will have to start doing my errands very early in the morning.  Well, as soon as the stores open.  Pogo won't mind, but I'm not usually very energetic that early in the day.  Time to put my big girl panties on.

As I look out my door, I'm watching the man across the street weeding his garden and getting it ready for planting.  They plant their veggies along the side of one of their driveways, from the sidewalk in.  For some reason, their garden grows rather well.

My two little tomato plants are holding their own.  They are slow growing.  By the time they get ready to make tomatoes, it will be Fall.  Hmmm, is this a bit of Murphy's Law?  I use to be able to grow just about anything, but my green thumb has died.  Now I can kill a plant faster than anyone.

Yesterday I bought a bowl of watermelon chunks.  I thought that Pogo might like them.   However, after giving them a sniff, he turned his nose up.  Hmpf!  Oh well, more for me!  I wanted to buy the big watermelon, but it was too heavy for me to lift.  The chunks are sooo delicious.  (and already more than half gone!)

Now I think I'll make us something to eat before I start doing a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

My garden didn't do well this year. No one here that I know had any luck with their garden. I didn't get any okra at all. It just won't grow. It doesn't take long for the weeds to take over your garden spot. I 've been pulling weeds from mine and has to get it together by August because my fall planting time is mid September and I am having chemo again in August. I won't have the strength to pull weeds after chemo by planting time. My son will be doing the tillering. I got lots of tomatoes but they were very small in size.

I love all the critters you have visiting you. They are so cute and I know you and Pogo enjoy watching them. I like to see the Turkey photos when they visit you. I am next door to a nature park but I doesn't get a lot of critters coming by. maybe they are so busy in the park. Have a great day.

I was so excited as I bought my first watermelon of the season yesterday. I started cutting it up last night and was very sad! I stink at picking a good watermelon...the inside was light pink at best and the rind was at least 2 inches thick. The watermelon had no taste! SO very sad! Maybe I will pick better next time - any hints on picking a good one?!?!?! Anyone?

You did a great job on capturing all those bird. In Texas we are starting to get fresh veggies and watermelons. They are great.

As I try to eat healthier, and boy oh boy, it that hard! I know watermelon is a great fruit and I truly love it along with cantaloupe and all the berries. We are due for the big heat wave too, not looking forward to it. I just love all your photos. The blue birds and squirrel photo made me laugh out loud. Too cute! I try to do errands early too. Too many people as the day wears on and some stores I buy fresh produce at get big crowds. We are late to garden too. My friend in WV sent me beans to plant but with all the rain we had she told me to wait til next year, God willing. With all the flooding food prices will continue to skyrocket. I am nervous about it, we all have to eat. But it is what it is.
Getting ready to settle in for the night so the hubby brought me my sleepy mint tea. Watching Rockies baseball.
I love hearing about Pogo. I hope the two of you have a great week. HUGS and LOVE
