HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

May 13, 2018

Good morning.  Tis rather damp and gray today.  The temperature is fifty degrees, and it might climb to the low sixties later on.  It's still a great day.  It's Mothers Day.  And I woke up this morning.  And my little Pogo is snoring lightly all snuggled up beside me.  Yup, it's a great day!

Remember the box that came the other day?  Well, daughter Audrey called me shortly after the box arrived and convinced me to open it then  So I did.  The box was from her.  Oh wowsie!  Inside, there were two beautiful dolls.  While Audrey was out shopping, she saw the dolls in a display at a thrift shop and just knew that I would love to have them.  Here's a photo I took.  Gosh, they are so pretty!

There was also a beautiful card in the box from my great granddaughter, Alena.  She changed the words Mothers Day to read Great Meema's Day.  She calls Audrey Meema, and I'm Great Meema.  Thank you Alena.  I love you too Baby.

To add to my excitement that day, I got a really nice coupon in my email for a super discount off my next blog book.  So that's how I spent the next few hours.  Working on making my new book.  Here are the photos that I chose for the covers.

Last evening, just before Eddie picked me up to go to the high school, I got a big box from Pro Flowers delivered to me.  Oh my, roses.  Two dozen simply gorgeous roses!  These were from Deanne and Eddie.  Oh wow!  There's red, pink, yellow and peach.  What can I say?  I love flowers!

When we got to the high school Arts Building, Eddie helped me up all the stairs and into the building.  Then I sat for a while to catch my breath.  Next, I was being surrounded by family and friends.  Two of my great grandchildren, Jack and Lilah, brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  Here's a photo I took this morning of all my beautiful flowers.

When the auditorium doors opened, Eddie helped me to our seats.  Wow, the place was huge.  Shortly though, the place was packed and the show began.  Wow!  I was expecting a great show, but this was awesome!  The talent that our children have is simply outstanding!

And our Jazzy, well what can I say?  She was simply awesome!  Not only did she have to learn all her lines and songs, but she had to learn how to do it with a Southern accent.  Dolly Parton would have been right proud if she had been there to watch the show.

I do have some photos to share, but first I need to go through them and do a bit of cropping and resizing.  I'll post some of them tomorrow.  There is one photo that I took quite by accident, but oh my, I love it.  This afternoon I want to spend some time on my laptop trying to remove the background from this photo.  If I'm successful, I'll share it tomorrow.

Today I have a new quick page for you.  This one has a vintage look and might be nice for a photo of your Mom.  Anyway, enjoy it.

Now I think I'm going to make a fresh cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  Pogo and I are wishing all moms a beautiful, happy day.  God Bless you all.  I also want to thank my family and friends for my beautiful gifts and flowers and good wishes.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.
