Water, Water Everywhere!!!

December 26, 2009

Good Morning! I'm watching the TV and they are talking about ringing in the New Year. Imagine! In five more days, at midnight, we will be looking at another brand new year. It just doesn't seem possible. They are also talking about the rain that is coming our way starting this afternoon. Oh goodie!! If we're not slipping and sliding, we're floating.

Well, we had a bit of excitement here late yesterday afternoon. Moo cooked a beautiful, delicious dinner for us. A New England boiled dinner!! Yum, yum!!! Tonight, I will fry up some of the leftovers, all mushed together, and have a fantastic meal!!

After dinner was over and we were all relaxing, Mr Howie was up to his tricks again. God bless him! He put chunks of toilet paper in the toilet and stopped it up and just kept flushing till the whole bathroom was flooded. We discovered it when the water started coming down through the ceilings all over the kitchen floor. Next came a couple of hours of clean up. What a way to end a great day!! Life is never dull here.

On a brighter note, I did a bit of scrapping this morning. Moo got some lovely Chef's apparel for Christmas from Kyra and Snowy, and he was proudly showing it off.

I also have a great photo to share with you today. My son-in-law, Mac, got a new lens for Christmas, and has been having a grand time taking pictures. Here is one he sent to me last night. This was taken out his back door. Great job, Mac!!!

Gosh, the weather channel is showing some awfully huge amounts of snow in the central and mid-west parts of the country. I hope my friends there are all safe and warm. I know the weather has been wreaking havoc on some of their holiday plans, so I hope they are able to get together with their families.

Well, I think I shall have another cup of coffee, and see what today will bring. Please, nothing too drastic!! Tonight is a work night for me. So till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantastic day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh, NO! LOL Well, it's a good thing it wasn't worse.

Thank you so very much for the sweet birthday card, Edna! I was so surprised when it came. You will be coming this way soon, eh? Hmmm... It would be so nice to get together. I will have to see what I could do. You'll have your PC, won't you? Actually, I believe I have your number, as in phone, somewhere in a message.

I made it through, relatively unscathed. LOL It has been a good few days. Having Kristi back in with the rest of the family is the best part. We are all going over to her home later today. As a paramedic, she had to work yesterday, Christmas Day. So, we're doing it today. I am so looking forward to it, too.

It looks like you had a great day! Tootsie, too! LOL That photo of her guarding her goodies is so cute!

Stay warm. It is mild down here. Christmas morning there were tornado watches in effect. LOL Crazy weather!

Have a safe trip down and I will be talking at ya.

Hugs!
