We're Having A Heat Wave

June 6, 2021

Good morning.  Today's going to be a warm one!  And tomorrow is going to be even hotter!  I've been going out at night right about when it's getting dark to water the plants.   That's the tomato plants and the porch flowers.  Deanne already has a small tomato on one of her tomato plants.  I have lots of yellow flowers, but no tomatoes yet.

While I was out there last night, I took a photo of that little mosquito plant that arrived broken.  It has grown a couple new leaves and is on its way to growing up to be a big plant.  Of course, I'll have to re-pot it soon.  All the little Aloe Vera plants (shoots from my big plant) are doing just fine.  I don't know what I'll do with all of them, but I'll figure it out before summer is over.

Here's a photo of the little mosquito plant.  Sorry it's not a great photo.

There have been several power outages around here lately, and I just got another alert on my phone that there is another outage not far from here.  I wonder what that's all about?  Hmmm.

A few days ago, I went online and ordered four ten pound bags of bird seed from WalMart to be delivered Monday (tomorrow).  The bird seed arrived here a couple days ago.  Now that's service!

I managed to do a little crocheting over the weekend.  Now I have forty one rows on each of the two pocket wraps that I'm working on.  One hundred and nineteen more rows to go on each of them, and then the pockets.

Yesterday, I took a photo of the pink rose tree.  It is covered with beautiful blossoms.  I do have to order some plant stakes to help keep it's branches away from the screens on the windows.  That can be my project for today.  Here's a photo of these pink beauties.

There is one white rose bush in my little garden near the porch, and it has fat buds on it.  I imagine pretty soon these buds should bloom.  I'll be sure to take photos.

Now I'm off to do some blog reading.  If I don't get to your blog soon, drop me a line and let me know.  I still have a few blog links to find.  Before I go, here's an interesting image that I borrowed from the web to share.

So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna, We are having a heat wave in our state too. It looks like it'll last for at least 2 weeks. Ugh!

It's hot here too and humid. Little yellow flowers mean that the tomatoes aren't far behind. Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!

I'm glad your mosquito plant survived! You were worried about it, as I recall! Beautiful roses, too.

Oh, happy gfor you now you have some good weather. Perhaps it might get a bit too warm, but there are always solutions to find if necessary. It is good for the body and soul to have some warmth and sunshine too.
Hoorray for the mosquito plant!
Your roses look fabulous. And when there are a lot of yellow flowers on the tomatoe plant, well, soon you will see tiny little tomatoes developping. Just water them well and give perhaps some feed every week in the watering.
Jan isn;t feeling all too well, he's very, very tired, sleeps a lot since yesterday afternoon. I wonder if that has to do with the second vaccine shot of Pfizer? If he is still the same tomorrow morning, I think I will call the doctor just to check. we'll see how it goes.
Have a wonderful day,
Hugs
Kyra

That Mosquito plant is very cool looking. I will have to look into getting one. We had a birthday barbeque for Rebekah's friend Alyssa Saturday evening and I was nearly eaten alive. Those nasty little buggers! The heat is too much this early in the year but we have had one thing and then another, rain and now heat. I hope you stay cool and enjoy the week. HUGS
