Warmer Temps Coming Back

June 18, 2021

Good morning.  It's early, a little after 6:30 a.m.  I woke up around 3:30 and decided to get a few things done.  Which I did.  Then I made some breakfast.   Temps today should reach eighty degrees.  The beginning of several days in the eighties.  Monday is supposed to be a scorcher.

Deanne sent me some photos of the swan families in the park.  Here's one of the photos.  Our park and it's inhabitants are really beautiful.

Today will be a quiet day here.  I will demolish a bag of junk mail.  Then I'll take a photo of the new baby blanket.  Hopefully, all the pastel colors will show.

I guess the TV stations have already set up their summer program schedules because none of my favorites are on at the same time any more.  So, I either watch a different program or switch over to the kids programs on PBS for a while.

I was watching SHOP LC but I couldn't stand listening to the host's voice for very long.  It was loud and annoying (to me).  So, now I'm watching The New Detectives.  They explain everything they do, step by step.  It's a learning process.

Here's a photo of another plant in my garden.  This is Fleabane.  And yes, part of it is edible.  If you like, I can post a recipe.

I don't know the name of one of my plants.  If any of you know it, could you please let me know?  Thanks.

Shortly, I'm going to go outside and water my plants before it gets too warm.  Yesterday, I thought I saw a second teeny green tomato.  I'll take another look to be sure.  Yesterday, Deanne already had FIVE tiny green tomatoes on her plant!

So, till Sunday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna, I don't know the name of the plant you are asking about. I can't wait to see the baby blanket you are finishing. 90 degrees here today and hopefully the last of the many 90 degree days that we've had so far this spring:)

I think that plant might be lunaria, or money plant. Does it have round clear seed pods in the fall?

Oops, you had a really early start today. May be you take a little in between nap later?
Love to see the colour of the new baby blanket.
About the plant in your garden, I don;t know really. I tried Plantnet on the web and it could be Lunaria. There is an app for Android which can recognize plants from a foto. Here is the link

(sorry you will have to copy the link and paste)
Looks fun to me.

We just had a very hard, big intensive rainshower(two, actually, and for the garden it is a good thing. Now the sun shines again.

Have a wonderful day,
Hug

Your park really is pretty and I love seeing the photos that you share of it. I really hope that you get more tomatoes on your plant. Perhaps this is the year.
I am trying to catch up on my blog reading and commenting so I can go and blog at my own place for a little while before things get busy around here. Have a wonderful day xoxoxoxoxo

Congrats on the first small tomato, Edna, and hope more will follow as there is nothing like something from your own plant. Yes, we will be getting hot weather on Monday as well, so it will be an indoor day here as well. Sometimes, I wake up early but most times either go back to sleep or read in bed, my favorite time to do that. Inhave read that if you can’t sleep then getting up and doing something is good.
