Tick Season Is Here

June 8, 2021

Good morning.  Tis another really warm one today.  After tomorrow, temps should drop back down into the low seventies.  I'm lucky, though.  I have air conditioning to help keep the house cool.

Friday, Deanne and I are going shopping at Ocean State Job Lot.  Woo Hoo!  It's going to be a fun outing.  I'll have to make a list of things to look for.  A new garden hose will be at the top of the list.  (I don't really need a list.  I just enjoy shopping at that store.)

Today will be a lazy, relaxing day.  (what else is new?)  I'm going to crochet a while, at least until both pocket wraps have at least fifty rows done.  After that, I want to shop around to see what sort of travel is available between here and Bradford, PA.  Why, you say?

Did you know that July 24 is National Cousins Day?  Wouldn't it be nice if I could go to Pennsylvania and meet my cousin Anita in person?  I think so.  I could drive there, or fly there.  There is an airport there.  (I checked.  And I think that Jet Blue flies there.)  Well, it's certainly something to think about!

Today I have a photo to share that shows how Deanne and Eddie keep Sassy cool while they are working in their yard.  Isn't she a cutie pie?

When you are outside enjoying your yard, be careful of ticks.  This is tick season and they are everywhere.  I borrowed this next image from web to share.

Now I'm off to do some blog reading.  Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh, it sure will be fun to go to the Ocean State Job lot store with Deanne. Perhaps you need your walker ?(makes it easier for you to stay a little longer perhaps) It's been a long time since we all could shop more or less "normal"again and it feels good.
But perhaps it is wise to still carry a mask in the shop?
And be sure to try to make a list of things you really want and I am sure you will find also other things that catch your eye LOL.

It would be nice if you could visit your cousin in Bradford. I looked up the distance and it seems not to be so far, so you could drive, but will you do that on your own?
And may be flying could be nice too, if you have someone to pick you up in Bradford(or take a cab or something). It is already fun trying to plan such a thing, isn;t it?

Have lots of fun checking it out and have a lovely day.
Hugs

Yes plan that trip to meet Anita! I know that would be wonderful for both of you. Tick warning is too funny! We were at my Granddaughter's this weekend, My Daughter had a tick on her arm. We removed it successful, but the laughs started about checking each other for ticks (we all started singing the tick song)! It certainly is tick season and we have plenty since we are surrounded by woods. Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!

I love that Sassy just sits in front of the fan. Funny! I do hope you get to visit with your cousin! I haven't seen my cousins on my mom's side for about 20 years, and on my dad's side since 1984!

we have ticks in the mountain areas. I love that meme you shared, it is sure funny. Your daughter and her husband are such kind souls. Love that precious pup staying cool. I hope you will be able to plan your trip to meet ANita. That would be so wonderful for both of you. Hoping your days are beautiful and blessed. HUGS

Your humor reminds me of Loretta's humor too. Always cause for laughter.

Oh Edna, with so much going on I forgot to tell you that my ex brother in law just recently got out of the hospital in North Carolina. He pulled a tick off the back of his neck and thought that he had gotten it all but at any rate he was bitten and the doctors said it could be tick fever. Not sure that if that is what it actually was but they did rule out Lime disease.

I will try and catch up more tomorrow... Hugs XOXOXOXOXO
