Good morning. It's five o'clock a.m. and it is already daylight here. Yesterday I was sleepy most all day, so you know I was up really early this morning. That's good though, because I've already hand washed a few blouses and a dress. I put them in the dryer for a few minutes, then hung them up to finish drying.
Pogo and I have had our breakfast and he is back to napping. The temperature right now is in the mid sixties, but will be up into the nineties in just a few hours. Besides being the hottest day of this week, the guys from the gutter company will be here between 8 and 8:15 to start working. The electric power company will be here then too to shut off the power to the house.
In a little while, I'm going to set up my floor fan out on the porch to help keep Pogo and me comfortable. I'm also going to fill a carafe with cold water to take out there. I have a lot of blog reading to catch up on so I'll do that out there too.
Tonight and tomorrow, there will be lots of fireworks displays and neighborhood kids lighting fire crackers. PLEASE, PLEASE be thoughtful and do what you can to keep your fur babies comfortable. I borrowed these images from the web as reminders.
I've been watching SHOP LC on TV and the bargains are awesome! They are having a 4th of July Blowout sale and oh my some of the prices are out of this world. I've been good though. Only watching, not buying. They have some of the most unusual gemstones and I love seeing them and learning about them.
I'm feeling really bad for the guys who will be doing the work on the house today because of the heat. I imagine maybe they are used to working in the hot sun, but I still feed bad for them. Bobby was going to come by today to do more work in the garden but I told him not to. Even if the guys weren't here working on the gutters, it would be too hot to be working out in the sun. He can come another day.
Once the power goes back on in the house, Pogo and I will be back in the living room with the air conditioner on. If I'm still awake tonight when the fireworks displays are going on, Pogo and I will watch them on the TV.
Now I have some things to do while I still have electric power. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Oh yes, it is hot here too and my upstairs air unit decided to quit working:( Waiting now to hear when they will be out to fix it. Thankfully we have our downstairs unit to keep us cool until they come. Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

We are going to be rather cool for us. The weather app said that we will get to a high of 89. Enjoy your porch time.

I've been up since 6:30am outside doing my bbq before the rain start today. As of now at 10:00am I am all finish with all the bbq. I know my neighbors probably is saying, what that woman doing so early out there cooking. (lol) We are suppose to have a few storms in the afternoon and maybe tomorrow it will all be over with for the July 4th celebration. I will be resting and eating from the fridge. No cooking for me. I am going to do the baked beans today and I bought the potato salad. It's already hot outside here and that is another reason I started early. Let's hope they hurry and complete your gutters so you can get back to some air. Have a wonderful day.
