Lots Of Good Things Happening

July 16, 2019

Good morning.  Goodness, I'm getting a slow start today.  It's already after ten o'clock.  Ah well, I don't have any early morning appointments today.  It's just absolutely lovely outside right now.  The temp is in the high seventies, the sun is shining and there is a nice little breeze.

I do have to go out for a while, so I'll do that after I've finished this post.  By mid afternoon, temps will be up around ninety degrees.  I'll want to be  back here with my air conditioning by then.  Yesterday was quite the busy day, but I did get a lot accomplished.

In the morning, I saw my orthopedic doctor for my follow up.  This was a good visit, but it was also a sad one.  He said that he is retiring by the end of next month.  Boo hoo hoo.  I'm really going to miss him.  I've been seeing him for thirty five or more years.  He's a peach!  Before I left there, he gave me a prescription to get my own new walker.

When I got home, I called the insurance company to find out how to get the walker, and then I made some calls to find a medical supplier where I could pick one up.  After this, I called the oxygen folks, and they said that my new concentrator would be delivered later in the afternoon.

Next, I picked up Deanne and took her to her job.  Her car is out of commission  for a while.  She is always doing things for me, so it's nice to be able to help her.  When I got back home, I had to find out why my Sunday blog did not get posted.  I know I posted it, but somehow it only got saved as a draft.  I posted it again and checked to make sure it was visible.

I got a really nice surprise in my email.  Someone left me a message that my blog post was not up and was I alright.  She missed me.  Wowsie!  Do you know how special that made me feel?  Angelica, you are a very special lady and you inspire me so.  It would be such a treat to meet you in person some day.  Now wouldn't that be a treat?

After that, my new oxygen concentrator arrived.  The man did not seem very happy, but I was.  This new machine is smaller and very quiet.  When I'm using the oxygen from it, I don't get dizzy when I get up to walk.  It's already quite an improvement.  Yeaaaaaaaaaaa!

I found this saying on the web and had to share it.  When we get older, going out for any reason can be such a treat..  Does this ring a bell with anyone?  hahaha.

This morning, Pogo and I are watching Daniel Tiger on the TV.  It's a really cute kids program.  Today, it's about using your words to express how you feel instead of getting mad and making loud noises.  It's a good lesson for kids.  And it's very entertaining.

Here's another image that I borrowed from the web.  This is something for all you folks with kitty kats.  It's called a Catio, and shouldn't be too difficult to build.  I imagine that your kitty kats would really love it.

Now it's time for me to get dressed and go see about picking up my new walker.   After lunch, Pogo and I will go pick up Deanne and take her to work.  Then it's back to our cool living room for the rest of the day  .Maybe I'll even crochet a while later on.  I actually picked up the pink afghan a couple nights ago and put on another couple rows.

I'm off now, so till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi,
I really love the Catio.. how cute and really a great idea for house kitties so they can get some fresh air too.

I am so happy that your going to get your new walker and that the oxygen concentrator is working well and that your not getting dizzy. Whew that had me a bit worried for you.

Have a wonderful day. You and Pogo are very special to me so take care of yourselves... Many hugs, cuddles and kisses to you both. xxx Beth

Thanks so much and yes when you aren't there, I think something has happen. (lol) You know there's a lot of us think we don't need anyone, but we all need someone sometimes. When you can find that positive person and have them in your life on the net or real life, it makes your days go better. It's very rare that you find an uplifting person these days. It seem like they want to put each other down. I always tell my son, if you can't find a good person to hang with, hang by yourself. You are a very special person because I am mostly a loner and the reason is, trouble lurks in people these days. (lol) You are always loving something, birds, fur babies, etc. That's the kind of person one should want to hang out with. I left social media because all you got confronted with was vulgar languages, women looking for women, men looking for men and hoe mongers looking for anyone. (laughing) To each his/her own but I prefer not to associate with trouble. Thanks for making my down days perky because I have them. If I can make you feel perky, I will do so. It's not hard to care for people, pets, etc. I like your motivation parts that you put on your blogs and you are good with them. You made me feel great too because when I came off life support in 2017 and finally came home from the hospital, you had left me a message wondering where I was. I had no idea I was being missed. (lol) I have high hopes that one day I will be able to travel again and maybe I will get the opportunity to meet you and Pogo. Hope you and Pogo have a nice day

Such a busy day even if you did get a late start. Glad you are getting your health issues straightened out. But sad about your doctor retiring. I have to go to my cardiologist tomorrow and see his associate (whom I don't like all that much) because my doctor is out of the office for an extended period of time. But maybe this is a good thing -- a new set of eyes. I have to think that way.

Have a wonderful night and give Pogo a hug for me.
