Mother Nature Is Treating Me To Some Fabulous Weather

March 8, 2016

Good morning.  It's another gorgeous day here in Florida.  The weather forecast for every day till I go home is more of the same.  I couldn't ask for anything better.

Yesterday, Pogo and I had a quiet day just relaxing.  He did a bit of sun bathing, and I watched TV while I crocheted.  A few more rows and I'll be at the halfway mark on the afghan.  Today the house cleaning crew will come by and do a bit of cleaning and exchange the dirty linens for some clean ones.

Here's a photo of the afghan and the beginning of the pink baby cocoon that Audrey was working on here.  I'll have her send me a photo when it is finished.

Maybe later today Pogo and I will take a walk around here for a bit of exercise.  Then we'll get back to lazing about the rest of the day.  Last night we were outside at 8 p.m. to watch the fireworks.  There weren't any so at 8:15 we went back inside and got comfy.  At 8:30 p.m. the fireworks started.  Oh boy, we almost missed the whole thing.  At least we got to see the last half of them.

Today I have a couple photos of the beautiful skies here at daybreak.  You have to be quick to catch these colors because in a very short time, the sky lightens up and the sun appears, big and bright.

For my friend,Nani, I took a short movie of the tops of the palm trees waving slowly to a soft breeze, but I haven't figured out how (or if) I can upload it here.  The sound that the palms and the breeze makes is sooo beautiful.

Yesterday I washed my laundry -- by hand, in the sink.  Then I hung it all on coat hangers to dry.  Now I won't have to run back and forth to the laundry building.  This morning everything was dry so I folded and packed it away.  I keep out what  I need for the week, and the rest is neatly packed away in my suitcase.

Right now, my little guy is curled up on the chair next to me having a little nap while I type my post.  He's had his breakfast, and soon we'll be out on the porch where he can do a bit of sun bathing.

Well, that's about  it for my news for this morning.  Now I'm going to get a fresh glass of ice water and  take my crocheting out to the porch.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a beautiful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

How long are you staying there? We head to Leesburg tomorrow to visit our friends and will be there for a week. I think it's only about an hour from there to where you are.

Such a lovely color of your afghan, so soft.
Wonderful you did a bit of laundry in the sink, that is a smart way to do it, if you don;t have too much. Indeed saves you a trip to the laundry facility.
So you have every evening some firworks to watch!
Isn;t Pogo to scared by the noise of it, or is it far away enough to not really bother him?
Fantastic that you will have the same weather all week long, you can load lots of energy from it.
Have a lovely day.
Hug
Kyra

Oh Edna, I so missed my vicarious Florida vacation in real time this year! The palm tree photos made me smile. I haven't been out to see palm trees in person in a few years now and I do love that sound of the breeze going through them. Even if it's reading much faster this year, hee hee, I still enjoy my cyber vacation with you. :D

Hugs, Nani
