Is That A Daffodil I See Blooming In My Garden?

March 24, 2016

Good morning.  It's cloudy this morning and a bit on the cool side.  However, it is supposed to get up into the mid 40's by afternoon.  This is good because one of the daffodils in my little garden is already bursting open into bloom.  That bit of yellow in the garden is such a happy sight.

Yesterday, SIL Eddie and Pogo and I went shopping and purchased the a new cabinet for our upstairs bathroom.  It was too big to put in the car, so the store will hold it until we can come back with a truck.  When we got home from shopping, Eddie brought in the new kitchen cabinet (that was in the trunk of my car) and put it all together.

This, of course, meant that I had to get busy and make a place for the new cabinet in my little kitchen.  Next, I had to find a home for everything that had to be moved to make room for the cabinet.  I'm still working on that.  Here's a picture of what the cabinet looks like.

Before Eddie went home, he took down my errant living room clock, put new batteries in it and re-set it to the correct time.  Next time he comes over, I'll have him help me hang the new curtains.

Last evening, DIL Janet came by and brought a big bag of snack goodies with her.  Wow, there were cupcakes, blueberry pastries and chocolate covered whoopie pie Easter eggs.  Hmmm, is she trying to fatten me up?  Actually, she brings extra goodies so that I can share them with the dwarfs.

I have some new photos to share.  The first one is Jack and Lilah with the Easter Bunny, and the second one is all three kids, Jack, Lilah and Ali.  (all great grandchildren)

SIL Eddie just called.  He picked up the bathroom cabinet and will be by soon to drop it off.  He has a lot to do today so he'll have to come back another day to put it all together.  I think it would be nice if these things came already assembled.

I just realized that today is food shopping day, so I need to get busy soon and write out my shopping list.  I also have to shop for two birthday gifts because next week is both Scott's and Janet's birthdays.  (my stepson and DIL)

Well, I guess I'd best get busy here.  Time is slipping by and I need to do a few chores.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,

Your new cabinet is going to be so wonderful for you. Congratulations for getting it into your home! I agree it would be nice if you could buy pre-assembled products. Putting things together is hard work. Lucky you are that you have help in putting them together.

It is almost noon and I have been up long enough to have poured my first cup of coffee. I had terrible foot cramps during the night. Not sure of the time but I know that it was after midnight when I finally took some Advil pm and went back to sleep. I don't know what time Cisco came to bed because he spent the evening hanging out with Nathan. Right now he is under the covers with his head sticking out to look at me. I offered him breakfast but he ignored me for some extra bed time.

The pictures of the kids are wonderful. Baby Ali has sure gotten big! And all that hair! Your great grandkids are so sweet! I am so partial to kids. I spoil mine rotten and then give them back to their mama and daddy! They let me know it too. They all 3 have an up coming dental appointment. The last visit showed no cavities so I am hoping that they don't have any now.

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours on the phone scheduling dr. appointments. I am having surgery done on my left big toe April 7th. They are going to remove the nail and get down to where the ingrown nail has imbedded. It is going to be a big Owy for me. I have my pain meds appointment for the 29th of this month and I also have my mammogram scheduled and all the transportation taken care of! Yippee! It is all done.

Well time to get up and moving around. First order of the day after coffee is a shower so I will talk to you later... Hugs from me and Cisco to You and Pogo... Love, Beth

The new cabinet looks wonderful and ever so practical. bet you will be very happy with it. Only problem always is to organize it with all the stuff you want it to contain LOL.
But.... also good oportunity to get rid of some stuff.
Great that you have Eddie to help you carry those things and putting furniture together(I always find it a curse to do that myself)
Yummie, Janet brought you some real goodies.
Have you any left over for the Easter weekend??????????
Today Jan goes to work again so we will have a real easy dinner, ham and cheese tosti's. Every now and then I do like to eat them, I put on some extra cheese and ham, sometimes also a tomatoe in it and it tastes yumkmie when all the cheese has melted.
Have to do a few errands today so soon it will be time to dress and go out.
Have a lovely day.
Hug
Kyra

There's nothing more fun than some new furniture, the cabinet looks great. I have to settle for just moving things around inside the cabinets for now. I long for the day when I can actually move furniture around the room again and buy new things to decorate with.

You seem to be a busy lady.I do not like going to the grocery store. I put it off until I am out of everything. Just did it this week. Your cabinet looks nice and will hold a lot of things.
