Enjoying The Beautiful Weather

March 1, 2016

Good morning.  Oh my, it's another simply beautiful day here in sunny Florida.  We are in Kissimmee, and our condo backs right up to Disney land.  All these years I've been coming here, the land has sat there untouched.  This year, there is construction going on, but I don't see any signs telling us what is being built there.  Maybe a new theme park?  Hmmmmm.

Before I forget, today is a new month, March.  Here is the March page from my calendar.  I took this photo last year right outside my porch here.

Yesterday was a laid back day.  Audrey and I went grocery shopping at Walmart, and of course, I just couldn't make it past the baby department without stopping to oooh and aaah over the beautiful little dresses.  No, I did not stop to buy.  Liar!!!  Of course I did!!!   It was really difficult to leave that department with an empty basket, but I managed.  I only bought four dresses.

Now comes the problem.  I have to go back and buy four more dresses.  There are two beautiful little girls to spoil.  I would give them each two of the dresses, but I wouldn't be able to decide on which dresses to give to which little princess.  So that means we will need four more dresses.    Sigh....such a problem!  haha.

It wasn't so very long ago, that I was making special dresses for another little princess.  But now she is all grown up.  Of course I'm talking about Jazzy.  I'll see  if I can dig out a photo or two of her modeling her dresses.

I thought I might get a couple new photos of Pogo yesterday.  But he's quite slick when he see's camera or the cell phone being pointed his way.  He turns away or takes cover.  He was on the sofa, so this time he took cover behind the blanket, only poking his head up long enough to see what was going on.  These are the two photos I was able to get.

I also have the two new scrap pages of Aurora Kay to share with you today.  The first one was made by Kyra, and the second one was done by Beth.  Ladies, these are both beautiful pages.  I love them.  Thank you so much.

Yesterday afternoon, Audrey and I settled in to do a bit of crocheting.  She is working on a pretty pink baby cocoon for a friend, and I'm working on a Honeydew green afghan.  I'll take some photos of our projects later.

Joe had gone out for a walk yesterday morning, and stopped in at a restaurant nearby for breakfast.  While he was there, he spotted a coconut crème pie.  That stayed on his mind all day, so last night, he went back there and bought the pie.  We had it for dessert.  Oh yum!!!

Today we are having a lazy day.  Audrey cooked us all breakfast.  Scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy.  Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm.   In a little while, Audrey and I will sit on the porch and work on our crochet projects later, and Joe has gone for a walk.  When he gets back, he will spend most of the rest of the day at the pool.

Well, that's about all my news for this morning.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,

Oh My what a wonderful time your having. Coconut Pie.... my mouth is watering!

I just got home from Wal-Mart. I had to go and pick up my meds and only one was ready but that is ok. I will pick up the other after 1:00pm today. Barbara is staying an extra day and they are planning on leaving for Wisconsin around 3 or 4 in the morning. They decided to move up to Wisconsin instead of Texas so when it is time for Matthews week off he doesn't have to spend all that driving time.

I caught a stomach bug and was just taking it easy yesterday. Started to feel much better later on last night but still I was asleep before 9:00pm and slept all night. I woke up this morning feeling like I could do cartwheels.

Of course you have to go back and buy 4 more dresses! That is a total must for these precious Princess's in your family. Such beautiful babies! They are certainly treasures beyond measure!

I am torn in what to make for dinner... Chicken and Dumplings or a rotisserie chicken that I bought and make sandwiches out of them with some delicious soup that Barbara made for dinner last night. I am more inclined to do the soup and sandwiches tonight and the dumplings tomorrow.

Today I will be posting all of my pages from Vanilla M Designs. I have 4 to post. I will get those out today, maybe spread them out a little so they all don't show up at once. I also need to check and see which places she wants them posted at. I told her in the beginning that I will not post to more than 5 places. It takes up so much time to get the links and sign in and to me that is just crazy. I have a friend that is a CT and she posts to 30 different places... No way am I doing that!

Love the pics of Pogo. I gotta run..... Hugs... Beth

Sounds like you're having a great time, and relaxing by the pool sounds like a good plan.

Adorable pictures of Pogo, at least we can see his eyes.

Have fun!

Sounds as if you are having a wonderfully relaxing time in Florida. I know the weather must be better than at your home.

That Pogo is something not letting you take his picture. My cat, Snowy, sees the camera and runs toward it to get her picture taken. I'm sure she doesn't know what it is, but knows it is something fun.

Have a wonderful time on your vacation. Looking forward to seeing your crochet projects.

So great to hear you have a wonderful time there. And yeah, tough decisions to make about the little dresses LOL!
Isn;t it wonderful to have no pressure having to do this or that at that time and so on??? Holiday is all about that and relaxing the best you can.
I probably will post tomorrow, so all the news there is I will save for that, okay?
Have lots of fun greets to Audrey and Joe, cuddle to Pogo.
Hugs
Kyra
