Got Frizzies?

May 30, 2013

Good morning.  It's 1:30 a.m., and I'm sitting here catching up on my blog reading and watching Law & Order re-runs on TV.  Well, Thursday turned out to be a really beautiful day.  It was sunny and warm, so I took advantage and washed my hair.

I may not have lots of hair, but the strands must be thick because it takes forever and a day to dry.  This is why I need a nice warm day to wash it.  I don't like using the dryer because my hair gets too frizzy.  I mean it's frizzy anyway, but gets worse when I have to use a dryer.

Today I thought I would try a new shampoo and conditioner.  This one is FRIZZ-EASE by John Frieda.   Did it work?  Well, sort of.  My hair is nice and clean and soft and silky.  And Frizzy!

Eddie came by and hooked up my air conditioner and the big dehumidifier in the other room.  This will make it so much easier for me to breathe in this warmer weather.  Sometimes a fan is just not enough.  Sometime today, he will come by and set up the yard benches that I bought a while back.  I can't wait till I can go shopping for new plants and yard things.

I promised you a something nice for today.  It's a set of two QP's that I made with a freebie gift from Sugarbutt Designs.  I subscribed a while back to follow her blog, and now I have a huge folder filled with wonderful freebies from her.  She is a very talented and generous designer.  As a blog follower, I receive a wonderful monthly thank you gift also.

This month, she asked some of us to use the freebie to make QP's and word art.  Wow, so many nice things were made, and you can get them all free by visiting her blog.  Take your coffee with you, and enjoy.  Here's the set of QP's that I made using her thank you gift.  I hope you like them.

And here is your download link:

Dee Dee and Eddie got me a beautiful new plant to put in my "Welcome" plant stand.  Isn't this pretty?  They got me the welcome stand last year, and  they look really nice on my door step.

Well, now I think I'll give sleep another try.  Maybe I'll have a cup of chamomile tea first to help put me in the sleep mode.  Although, I may not need it.  I'm already beginning to fade a bit.  lol.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

It must have been some tunder and lightning, that Pogo was afraid of it.!
Glad you feel a bit better every day now, and good girl that you called your doctor about the cough. It really must have been a severe cold you catched, that it will take some time to get rid of the cough. Nothing else to do than treating yourself well and sit it out. If it's staying this nice weather, the sunwarmth may help a bit too. And it's nice of Eddy that he will put together your garden banches. Some soft pillows on it and you will feel like a princess I am sure!
Lovely plant you received. If I am right the biggest one is a Petunia million Bell, pinch out the dead flower heads every time, water it well and after a couple of weeks put into the watering can some liquid manure for potted plants and you will have a beautiful stand for many weeks.
Happy you liked the layout of Joe and Pogo, I sometimes pick out a great photo from your blog, to not loose completely the skill of making layouts LOL!
You take care now, stay low profile for some more days at the least, to get your strength back again and get rid of bug completely.
Hug

Hope you are sleeping in this morning ... up at 1:30 AM doesn't bode well for recovery. You are blessed with a lot of helpers that help to get you through times like this. I am glad you are feeling better and yes a residual cough is a nuisance, but it too will go.

I took a run over to Sugarbutt ... quite the name. She had a lot of lemonade over there and I saw your excellent contribution. You do have a talent. Thank you for the download :)

The weather is iffy here. We had rain last night ... now it is sunny and muggy, but the weatherman says more storms to come. I am hoping it will cool everything down because Izzi doesn't like running trials in the hot weather. I have to use cooling blankets, coats and fans to keep her happy and she still paces herself on the course, so it is hard to make time. But it does't really matter because we are there for the fun of it (and the exercise of body and brain). In this case winning doesn't matter much.

I have a big kitty at my side calling for his rubbies so I will cut this a little short. You have a wonderful recovering day, Edna ...
