A Good Photo Day

May 13, 2013

Good morning.  I'm sitting here watching the Weather Channel, and I am so amazed at the weather that is happening all around the country.  Can you believe?  Some places are still getting frost and snow.  Even we are having frost warnings.  Amazing!

I hope everyone had a nice day yesterday.  My very long shift with the Mrs was actually quite pleasant.  Long, but nice.  Of course, my homecoming greeting from Pogo was even nicer.   This morning I even got lots of doggie kisses.  Wow!   This little guy sure knows how to make your heart melt.

This morning I have some super cool photos to share with you.  I'm learning to always keep my camera on the front seat of the car when I am driving.  You miss a lot of photo ops when you leave the camera bag on the back seat.

I pulled up to a traffic light, and this was the view from my drivers' side window.  I only had a minute, but I did manage to get a few good shots.

This was the view from the next traffic light.

And at the next set of lights, I got this beauty in my sideview mirror.

Some days I just get lucky and find some great shots.  Hopefully, today or tomorrow, Dee Dee and Eddie are going to take me to a place where I can photograph a swan and her nest.  I can't wait!

Now it's time for me to busy around here.  First, I have a new texture for you that I made from one of the rain (on the windshield)  photos.  I hope you can use it.

My first chore this morning is to give Pogo's Potty Patch a bath.  Oh joy, oh joy.  Well, it's not so bad.  I put it in the bathtub and spray it with the hand held shower.   I'll bet that bit of news just made your day, huh?   lol.  Till tomorrow folks, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

This is a longish comment as I’m catching up from the weekend, 

I’m glad Pogo is doing a great job of welcoming home his Mom for Mother’s week. Isn’t that what mothers who work on Mother’s Day get? The rest of the week?? The Pogo card is so cute. I like the orange tulips too! Thank you for sharing the quick page.

If/when the time comes you’ll treat your caregivers well because you are a caretaker now. It’s like servers tip servers better. I think when the day comes that I need an in-home pro to help or a nursing facility, I’ll be okay. Right now I have an evening and weekend caregiver and I treat him pretty good. If I need someone to help during the day, I have practice treating them well. Although maybe not the same perks as my husband. Hehe

I’m enjoying the element gifts you’ve been offering. The tiger lily is sweet and I can definitely use the book, that is that I journal a ton and always scoop up things I can journal on!

I like that rainy texture and the flowering trees are just gorgeous from the rainy day! We have sun today, knock on wood, but it’s cold. It’s supposed to get warmer and rainy this week. Can I get a compromise on the weather?

Have a great Mother’s Week, Edna!

Hugs Nani

Thank you for your explanation of Mother's Day for me. Sometimes I get such a case of the blues I forget that I have a son and great step-daughter that love me. I'll need to post a little more upbeat blog today to acknowledge that. I needed a reality check and my blog friends came out in force, and I am so grateful for this.

Hope your Mother's Day was a wonderful one! I played lazy all day and the "girls" and I just watched TV and I read while they slept by me. Love those kind of days occasionally!
Thanks for the visit and kind remarks you left, yes, I love my blog books, so much fun to go back and read comments too while looking at them. I may have to start doing mine twice a year too! LOL!
Beautiful photos you have taken, even of the dark clouds. Thanks for the card, texture and the book template. Appreciate all you share! Have a wonderful week ahead. Hugs to you and Pogo! Mat

Boy you did get lucky and yes, the camera in the car seat is a given ... just make sure you are stopped when you use it. Though I have to tell you, I get really cranky when I see something I want to take a picture of and there is someone on my tail so I can't even slow down, let alone stop. I love the texture too ... I love rain (up to a point) so this texture will come in handy for me ... it really is beautiful.

Sorry you had to work on Mother's day, but I know you ... you were allowing someone who had kids at home to be there with them. You are such a kind soul.

Now I have to tell you, I am drowning in stuff that I know nothing about. My husband and I downloaded all the software that goes with the Bamboo tablet and there are no directions with anything. I finally found one set in a the help desk and printed it out. I also ended up with PSE11 which is very different than my 10 and I am struggling to find everything on it. Oh my, I think I am in over my head. But, I will just have to spend time figuring these things out one thing at a time. Wish me luck ...

So I am going down now to warm up some left over Chinese (we always have Chinese on Mother's Day because it is one of my favorites). We always get too much because everyone likes something different and the servings are too big for one person. Now my Hubby is grumbling because he is hungry ... better get going. Have a nice evening, Edna.

Edna, even your photos shot through the windshield are stunning. May I ask what camera you use to take these shots? I am getting a new iphone this week and have no idea what quality of pictures I will get using it. I believe it will be quicker than opening up my other camera when traveling in the car. Your Pogo is so darn cute! We have a very large Golden Retriever who rules our house.

Great shots you've made!
LOL, your news of giving Pogo's rugs a bath just made my day, no serious, I;ll have to do laundry today too, also some shopping, running out of things.
Yesterday evening I was on snail hunt int the garden ROFL. As till now, we don;t have as much as last year, but although I like every creature to have it's life, some have to spend that life somewhere else, not in my garden eating the new seedlings and some plants!
Oh well, there will be enough snails left to re-produce themselves for next year LOL.
Hope I will stay dry today when going out.
Have a nice day with Pogo, he'll be happy to have you aound.
