It's only 5:45 am and quite dark outside, and I'm still at work for another hour or so. Today is the day Miss Su and I start posting our new collab kit "Visions Of Sugar Plums." Wow, let me tell you, this is a super holiday kit, and the colors are just yummy!! Altogether there are twelve parts, so we will each post two parts on Mondays, starting today.
Yesterday, I finished addressing all my holiday cards, and will mail them all out today. I am hoping to do a bit of shopping later today, and try to make a large dent in my shopping list. Actually, it's not really so bad, I just don't seem to be able to focus on what I want to shop for. Time to get the lead out of my pants!
This time of year, there are some really great movies on TV. The other night I got to watch (for about the 5th time) "The Christmas Shoes." Naturally, towards the end of the movie I needed to grab my box of tissues to mop up some tears.
I remember my Michael used to laugh at me for crying over sad movies because he was never moved to tears by them. They were just movies. But then after all his heart surgery where they rebuilt everything like new again, he started crying during the sad movies. This frustrated him because he couldn't figure out why, but I explained it to him. Before, his heart was too sick to be sad enough to cry, but now it was nice and new and filled with emotions. I don't know if he bought this, but at least he knew that it was okay to cry over a sad movie.
Today, I would also like to drive to a downtown a couple of towns over, to look for a certain homeless man who usually sleeps in a doorway. Moo always used to take all our bags of nickel return bottles and cans and bring them to this man. The man would never take money, but he gladly took our bottles and cans. It was a matter of pride. So today, I have several bags of bottles and cans, and need to find this gentleman.
Now I think it's time to post your preview and the first two links for "Visions Of Sugar Plums." When you finish downloading, hop on over to Miss Su's blog and pick up her Parts 1 & 2. And don't forget, a little bit of "thank you" goes a long way. We hope you really enjoy this kit. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.
