Google Can Be Very Interesting

May 6, 2021

Good morning.  Today is supposed to be really nice, but I'm still not warmed up from the cold night.  I think I may have turned the heat off a bit too soon.   It's not easy coming out from under the nice warm blankets in the morning.

This morning I'm thinking about housedresses.  I don't know why.  The word just popped into my head.  My mother always wore them.  I wear a version of them.  This morning I looked them up on Google and found lots of really interesting things about them.

The housedress is a dress that is worn at home, and can be worn other places too.  Over the years, there have been other versions that are also very comfortable.  There is the patio dress, the muu muu, the duster, the maxi dress, the nap dress (for napping), the dressing gown, the shift dress, the caftan, and the uniform house dress, just to mention some of them.

Woman Within catalogue has some called "lounge dresses."  I like these.  I have two of them and I'm working on getting two more.  They are super comfortable and go everywhere.

Ever wonder where Google gets all its information?  Normally I don't.  But when you look up something, you can usually find other topics of interest at the end of the item you are reading. One item of interest listed after the "housedresses" was "Bikinis for Plus Size women."  Really?

I'm finding out that one of the problems my laptop is having is with Photoshop CC.  It doesn't play well with Windows anymore.  I'm thinking of getting rid of this program and maybe getting the shorter version, Photoshop Elements.  I'll have to think about this.

It's getting close to noon so I'm going to see what's for lunch.  Before I go, here's a really cute image that I borrowed from the web to share with you.

So, till next time, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

There are all sorts of dresses, I know. The best for me to be comfy and warm are the louge pyama's best of fleece. I just love them.
And it;s the thing with Google, that when you look something up you always find a link to something also interesting and suddenly.....half an hour or more is gone. Oh well, sometimes it is just adventurous to do it.

Hmmm, could be that it is your Photoshop that is causing the problem. May be too heavy for your laptop or it just isn;t working nice anymore with windows 10. I always had Photoshop Elements and I was very happy with it.

If it is really very chilly when you wake up perhaps you should turn the heat on again for a bit longer. We don;t want you to catch a bad cold just because of turned of heat, isn;t it?

Think about it.
Have a lovely day,
Hug

It is amazing isn't it, Edna, how you can go online to look up one3 thing and then find links to so many other things. It's WHY I often find myself spending hours when I meant to only spend a few minutes! Photoshop can be a temperamental program I agree. I used to have a coipy of Photoshop Elements but it kept being constantly updated with new versions which had to be purchased. I currently only use a couple of downloadable free photo editing programs: Fotor and PhotoScape X on my Mac desktop. You might check online and see if Windows versions are available. There are also paid versions of these programs. There are also other free photo editing programs available.

Bikinis for plus sizes? Uh... No thanks. It is interesting that you can find information on just about anything online. Hope you have a great day!

Hi Edna,
We are having strong winds that are keeping us inside on this beautiful sun shiny day. However the temps are getting a bit too hot now that it is afternoon and even the breeze will not help to enjoy the day without blowing away.

I will have to go to the Woman Within and order a catalogue. I love house dresses etc.
Talk to you soon. Big Hugs. xoxoxo

One of the best things about the Internet is its ability to take you from one interesting subject to the next!

If you go to Elements and need something done that is only on CC send it to me and I will do it and send it back. I don't know elements well but it is pretty good. Most of mt Camera Club people use it.

Happy Mother's Day!
