Finally Shutting Off The Heat

May 4, 2021

Good morning.  Today is gray and wet with cooler temps.  It's a good day to stay indoors and do crafts.  Our world is changing to lots of green.  So many different shades of green.  It's really quite beautiful.

Last night I worked on the pocket wraps.  About twenty more rows to go on each of them and they'll each be at the half mark.  Eighty rows.  I may have to pick another color and make an extra one.  These wraps will be almost done when the pink yarn gets here and it's more fun working on two wraps at the same time.  Gee!  Such a predicament!

I just went to Google to look up a specific pattern and WOW!  There are so many beautiful crochet sweater patterns out there!  I will have to spend some serious time looking into some of these.

My cousin Anita has made lots of Granny Squares and was looking to make something other than a blanket with them.  I thought I might find a book with lots of different ideas for her.  That will be a project for this afternoon.

Because the temps lately have finally been warmer, I shut off the heat to the house.  This tends to make it a bit chilly during the night, but oh my it makes for a better sleep.  This morning I woke up early then went right back to sleep for a few more hours.

As for my ill-behaved laptop, it is just slow today.  I'm not complaining.  At least it is not making me crazy.  This is what is called "picking my battles."  As long as it is only running a bit slow and not causing all sorts of grief for me, we will get along just fine.  It's the grief I can't handle.  I will talk with Mr. Dave about re-setting the updates.

There's really nothing new happening, so let me share this with you before I leave to read some blogs.  (image borrowed from the web)

And here's a giggle to enjoy with your morning coffee.

Now I'm off to check out some of my favorite blogs.  Till next time, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna Thank you for the Giggles. I just love how Rover won that battle during the night but I bet hubby gets the dog house over that one hahahahaha.
I am loving the green here too and the cooler temps. It has been a beautiful few days here. I heard from my kids that our house in Austin where I use to live flooded again. The rain was non stop for several hours and thankfully Nathan was there to help Jonathan with moving the beds and electronics out of the path of the water. This is the 3rd flood in 3 or 4 years. I keep praying that they find something else soon in the housing market.
Talk to you soon.... xoxoxoxxoxo

Slow laptop isn't the greastest fun, but if it is not too slow, you can work with it. Still hoping for you Mr. Dave can do something about it.

Oh gosh, we still have the heat on not all day. but evenings and sometimes daytime too on not too high temperature, because it gets quickly chilly in our house. And temperatures outside aren;t yet really funny. But.... it should change this weekend and then I hope we can do without central heating(I always put that low during the night of course).

There should be a lot of projects to find with granny squares, I know they make cardigans with it, for one.

Yesterday we had stormy winds and rain, today looks a bit better, still wind(but less) and some sunshine.

Have a lovely day,
Hug
