It's Not Easy To Ride A Big Yellow Duckie

August 8, 2018

Good morning.  Gosh, I'm getting a very late start today.  I stayed up late last night watching a movie and this morning I just did not want to get up.  Even Pogo slept late today.

Deanne came by yesterday and put the new seat on the toilet.  Oh how wonderful to not be getting pinched on the cheek anymore.  It doesn't seem like a big deal, but pinching does put a whole new perspective on one's comfort.

Today, I have a repairman coming by to see about fixing my dryer.  I'm not sure when he'll be here but it will be soon.  So, today's post will be short.  I have some fun photos to share that Deanne sent to me.  She has a wonderful pool in her backyard, with lots of fun floaties.  A few days ago, she and Eddie and a good friend were cooling off in the pool and trying to ride the big yellow duckie.

It took several tries and a few dumps into the pool to figure out how to get on the duckie (and stay on) as these fun photos will show.

Can you think of a better way to have lots of fun and stay cool at the same time?  This was a fun afternoon for everybody.

I was chatting with my friend Beth last night, and she asked me if I had any of my photos set aside yet for next year's calendar.  I have a couple set aside, but this is something I'll have to start working on pretty soon.

It's almost the middle of August already, and Fall is right around the corner.  That's kind of scary, don't you think?  That means that Christmas is only 139 days away.  It may sound like a lot, but it's not.  I have shopping to finish and wrap.  There are boxes to get ready for mailing.  There are cards to be designed and envelopes to be written.  And, there's a calendar to be made.  Plus all the normal everyday stuff.  It makes you think, doesn't it?

Today I have a new quick page for you.  This one is to remind us to be thankful for all our blessings.

Now I'm off to wash a few dishes and maybe chase a few dust bunnies around.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

p.s. To Elee, in case that link is difficult to use, here it is again.

It looks to me like the rubber ducky was the winner in that round. What fun!

In the other ost you talkes about getting a new laptop, but fearing to do so because you probably will have to learn some new stuff again. I know how you feel, I have the same LOL.
I know, we always should try to learn something new, but at a point I think it is a bit enough, certainly when talking about new technology stuff.
Ah, somehow we will overcome.
Deanne is lucky to have place for such a big pool, it is great in these high temperatures. And yes, you can have lots of fun too. and laughing is very good for everyone.
Okay, I will try to start a new kit, and in a while I will already prepare dinner, so that it will be quickly done later on.
Have a lovely day

Riding those ducks can be tricky:) Thanks for the smile this morning! I chased dust bunnies yesterday, where does all the dust come from:) Enjoy your day dear friend, I hope the drier fix is simple and not expensive. HUGS!

Oh how good the water looks! Hannah has a big pool but for whatever reason it did not go up this year. She bought small one but only the lil pups have gone swimming. She had a huge slice of pizza we all tried to ride. Hahaha

Time flies that is a given. I was just thinking about Christmas cards and new calendars.

Love catching up with you and glad the dryer situation wasn't horrible.

HAve a great weekend.
