Counting My Blessings

August 6, 2018

Good morning.  It's late morning, but still morning.  I've been cropping photos to share and making a few important phone calls.  Now it's my time to play on my laptop.  We're in the midst of "sizzle time" so I had to call and re-schedule an appointment that I had for this morning.  This is definitely "stay indoors" weather.

Last week, my great grandson Xander turned one year.  Here's a cute photo of him with his cake.  I think he likes it!  He's the youngest of my great grands.

And here's a cute photo of Alena showing us the little frog that jumped up onto her arm.  Oh yup, she's a tomboy and just loved this.  Reminds me of myself when I was a kid.

I promised to tell you more about the show that Deanne and I went to last Friday night.  It was a production of "Heathers The Musical."  (The high school version)  It had to do with suicide and homicide of our teenagers.  Rather provocative, but very well done.

Sorry for the wrinkles in my ticket and program, but I had to fold them to put them in my purse.

The play started out with a reading from the Diary.  Jazzy played Miss Fleming.  The acting and the music was just wonderful.  My only critic was that the music was too loud.  Overall, I had a grand time watching these talented young people.

This Fall I am going to see Jazzy in "Gypsy" at the Cabaret.  She will be playing Gypsy.  My daughter Audrey might be coming for a visit then.  We'll all be going to see Jazzy and the other Starliners.

Have I mentioned lately how blessed I am?  It hasn't been easy getting to this point in my life.  There have been a lot of huge hills to climb, but I'm here and my cup (of blessings) runneth over.

There's a tiny bundle with a little black nose curled up beside me as I type.  The joy he brings me is endless.  I'll have to try to get a new photo of him with his new haircut.

I'm watching re-runs of "Deal Or No Deal" on TV, and Donald Trump has just come out to help a contestant decide whether or not to take the deal.  Wowsie!  This man is just awesome.  He's a people person, not a politician.  That's why so many of us like him.

Don't get me wrong, you are entitled to believe which ever way you choose to. It is your right.   And if you disagree with me, that's okay.  (I will still like you.)  But I do like to give credit where credit is due.  The man took Mr. Trump's advice, and won $359,000 dollars.  Awesome!  Awesome!

It's almost noon now, so I'll be taking my leave here.  I want to do a bit of blog reading before I start on the dishes.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay cool and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh Edna,
What a awesome play for you to see. Jazzy is just awesome in everything that she does. Yes honey your very Blessed and it does my heart good to be able to be a part of someone's who recognizes how Blessed they are.
Like you said there have been hills and from our conversations I can only say you have had more than your share of Mountains as well.

I wanted to work on my Blog tonight but I took my night meds and right now every other word I type I am having to go back and redo it. Letters are swimming before my eyes lol. I don't have plans for tomorrow so I will try then.

One more thing on a personal note and I will say goodnight. Karyn is doing much better. 2 bags of fluids, a bit of pain meds, something for the nausea and we came home and she is sleeping.
She has actually had a full meal tonight. I hate to see her go thru these migraines. She has had them since she was 4 years old so we pretty much know when to seek medical treatment.
It has been several months since she has had one this bad but she has turned the corner.

Yep time for me to call it a night. I just read something I typed and not sure what it said lol... Goodnight... Hugs and Kisses to you and Pogo.... xoxoxoxo Beth

Wow! Jazzy is a real actress. Someday she will be on Broadway. I have been watching the old reruns of Deal or No Deal also. They are good shows. I heard there is talk of doing a remake of the show. I wonder if this will really happen.

Have a good night, Edna.

Cute pics of the kids, I know they make you smile:) Perhaps that play should be shown more often, there is too much suicide and homicide:( Enjoy your day dear Edna, HUGS! We are blessed!
