Some Days It Never Ends

July 31, 2018

Good morning.  It's early, but it's going to be a sticky warm day.  And another busy one.  It's all about keeping the car healthy and I hope it's all over today.

Yesterday I took the car in for a check up and to get a new safety sticker.  Well, back that up a bit.  Pogo and I went out to get into the car.  But the car would not start.  The (new) battery was dead.  This is very frustrating.  Now I had to call and have my appointment changed till 1 p.m.

After a couple hours on the phone with the extended warranty insurance company, I finally got someone local to come out and start my car.  The other company wanted to send a truck to tow my car.  I did not need a tow truck, I needed the battery jump started.

Once the car had been running for a while, Pogo and I got in and headed for the auto dealership.  On the way, I noticed the light on my dashboard telling me that the trunk was not closed properly.  I pulled over to fix this problem, but could not.

When we got to the dealership, one of the staff helped to get the trunk closed properly.  The light on the dash went out.  But then another light came on.  The engine light.  Because the engine light has come on I cannot get a new safety sticker.  Instead I will get a rejection sticker.

The car had it's regular check up, and they tried to diagnose the car's problem.  It seems that the computer module in the car needs to be replaced.  By now, it was late in the afternoon, so I had to make a new appointment for this morning.  So, in a little while, I will be heading back to the dealership.

Some days it just never ends.

It's time for me to get dressed to leave now, but fist I want to share a fun little video that I took a couple days ago on one of my steps.  It's about a very busy ant and how determined he is to get his job done.

I watched this ant for a while, and he did finally get his prize off the steps and onto the ground.  He then made it over to the other side of the yard to wherever he was planning to take his prize.  You gotta give this little guy credit for sticking to the job even though it was a tough one.

Now I'm off to start another "car" day.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay cool and have a fantabulous day.

I feel your pain - when it rains it pours.

Sorry everything happening at once. When our cars get older things start to happen. Very frustrating.

We finally got some real rain drops today. It's still raining and my yard is happy. I usually water my yard but the water bills where I live have gotten very expensive. I thought buying a home in an unincorporated area would be less expensive but I do believe they stuck it to me for the last months because I was complaining. Oh well if you use it or not, your bill is still $55.00. This is the most expensive water that I've ever seen. oh well, I got caught with when it rain it pours in February when I went for my car inspection sticker. The service engine soon light popped on and it led to trouble. Just hang in there, it will be better tomorrow. Hope today is better.

Oh my goodness! So much going wrong with your car all at once. Well, at least they can fix everything at one time and you won't have to keep going back over and over. I hope it all gets taken care of today.
