Getting There Ever So Slowly

April 23, 2015

Good afternoon.  Gosh, I meant to get up much earlier, but I didn't really get to sleep until after 6:30 this morning.  It was just one of those nights where sleep was not going to happen.

I did try to sleep, but finally gave in and crocheted for a while.  At least I managed to finish the Jade shawl.  Of course I found that it contained several booboos.  They are probably only noticeable to me, but I did my best to fix them.  I guess the creative side of my brain does not function as well as I think it does when I am not feeling so good.  Ah well, it will be what it will be.

I was really hoping to feel well enough to go food shopping today, but it looks like that won't happen.  We'll see how I feel later this afternoon.  I'd be okay, but with this wicked coughing, I'm just not a pretty sight to behold.  Maybe tomorrow?  Hmmm.

Our newest dwarf has just offered to take Joe food shopping later this afternoon, so maybe I'll just give Joe a short list for Pogo and me.  I am so anxious to get outdoors.  It's been so long being cooped up indoors and watching all the beautiful weather through the door.  (I'm not complaining, just saying.)

Today I have a couple photos that daughter Audrey sent to me.  These are fields of mustard plants.  In the second photo, there is a tiny dot in the middle of the sky, which in fact is a large bird.  I made a new layer of the bird and enlarged it, then placed it to the right of the bird so that you could see how large this bird is.  (I put a white glow around my larger bird layer.)   It's most likely a vulture.

These are beautiful shots Audrey, thank you so much for sharing them.  I also have a photo that I took of Pogo looking out the door at me while I was placing the plants out on the door step (a few days ago).  I think he was nervous I might take off without him.  (fat chance!)

Once Pogo has spent a few hours at the door making sure that all is well with the world outside, he climbs up onto his sofa that is layered with piles of fuzzy blankets and takes a well deserved nap.  He takes his job as protector very seriously, but it does leave him a bit tired at times.

Well, I really don't have any news for today, so I think I'll climb back on my comfy lounge chair and watch the news for a while.  (groan, groan, it's mostly about all the wicked bad weather across the country.)  I hope y'all are safe from these horrid storms.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Feel better soon! I have had a rough day yesterday! Migraine aggravated by stormy wind and possible rains and of course, allergies and sinus! It was worse at dinner with my phamily, well most of them anyway, so when I got home the hubby made me a double cup of Sleepy Tea and I slept on and off all night long. Today I am better. But found out a cousin to my cousin JoAnne passed away. Mark was a great guy and if memory serves me correctly, only a year older than I am! I was feeling so sad, the hubby was slammed at work but took time out to comfort me. I depend on him so much! :-)
I ordered Nick and I a new ltd. edition Tim Tebow Philadelphia Eagles shirt, his in black, mine in hunter green. No matter where he goes, I admire Tim Tebow. He is a real man of God! We could use more guys like him in the NFL and everywhere else! You take care. That PoGo cracks me up! Such a fierce protector of his home! God bless his sweet heart heart! A cutie for sure.

Didn't had much time yesterday to do blogreading, so couldn;t write a comment either. But now I have time to relax and have read your two posts. You will have the medication a bit more time to work on you, I guess, but after a day or 2 or 3 it should go better, I hope so.
Love the photos of the squirrel! Squirrels always look so adorable.
And yes, Pogo tries to do a good job as protector of the house and therefore deserves also his rest hahaha.
Okay, I will try to put on a little blogpost finally.
Have a wnderful and for all healing weekend!
Hugs

Love him and his little bed - not that he's spoiled or anything. At least no more than George and Gracie are and that's the way it should be.
