Tis Lily Blooming Season

July 10, 2019

Good morning.  It's sunny and warm, already temps have hit eighty degrees.  Later, they will hit the low nineties, unless the forecast changes.  Today is my daughter's friend's wake, but I won't be able to go because it is not a very good breathing day for me.

Folks, this is really frustrating for me.  I'm not used to being held back from doing things.  The simplest things are now big projects.  I've always led a really busy life until now.  Maybe that's why I get so cranky now and then.  I wonder how other folks cope with this type of problem.

I've been having some issues with my oxygen concentrator.  It heats up so much that it warms the area around it, and the oxygen seems to be weak.  I've called the company, but they say they don't have any newer machines.  (the one that I have is really old.)  Supposedly, they will call be me back.  I told the girl at the office that if they could not take care of this problem, I would have to call the insurance company to see if I could get a different company to supply the oxygen.  We'll see.

So, enough of my grumbles.   Today I have a few more photos of the blooms in my garden.

I got some cute photos of a fly of sorts, but they need to be cropped, so I'll share them tomorrow.  Hopefully, in the next day or two I'll be able to get outside to take some more photos.  I was hoping to sit out on the porch for a while today, but the air is rather heavy.  Maybe tomorrow will be better.  Or maybe we'll get some nice breezes.

The slacks that I had ordered came yesterday, and they fit.  But, the fabric is very heavy and the legs were too long.  I'll call for a label and send them back.  Somehow, I don't have much luck ordering clothes online or from a catalog.  I'm thinking it's because manufacturing companies don't all use the same size charts.  The same goes for doggy clothes.  It seems like no two companies use the same size charts.

I haven't had my morning coffee yet, so I think I'll go make some now.  I see my flag is waving just a tiny bit so maybe we've picked up a little breeze.  That would really be nice.  I'm off now.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I know you have some years ahead of me, but I am in that same condition but mine goes and come. Yesterday I had to sit on the bar stool in the kitchen because I wasn't breathing too good. I am trying to strengthen my lungs with this little machine so I won't be needing oxygen. It's frustrating when you can't do the things you use to do. My cousin came by Sunday and he was amazed on how good he think I am doing. (lol) He thought I couldn't walk and told me how nice my home is. I didn't say anything negative, I just said to myself, you just don't know what I go through to keep it sort of clean. It's not like it use to be. Yes, we do have those days and many of them. I am cutting back on my garden space because I made it too big and now I am not able to handle all this space that need weeding. We just have to do what we can and when we can and don't worry about it when we can't. You are doing well. As long as we can keep doing 75% of what we use to do, we will be fine. That 100% is gone on my end. (lol) Relax and you and Pogo have a good day. Don't stress yourself, you will have another good day.

This oppressive heat makes it harder for everyone to breath, I'm getting over a spell of bronchitis and have been struggling for days.
I hope the oxygen machine can be updated for you, and you are able to get some relief, my worst fear is not being able to breath....
Your lilies are just stunning, ours have come and gone at this point.
I really love the colors, so vibrant !
Hugs,

Hi Edna,
Your flowers are so gorgeous that it makes me feel like I am taking a trip in the garden. How gorgeous those lilies are. Wow.

It is hot. I understand how it affects your porch time. Honey please call your insurance about the concentrator. I don't trust the one that you have not to catch fire. Besides you need your oxygen!

Ok I am going to work on my blog and I will talk to you soon... Hugs to you and my sweet Pogo... xxx Beth

Yes, I understand. I helped my Daughter yesterday clean out her garage at their house that they don't live in anymore to get it listed. I just can't do as much as I used to and it is very frustrating. Your flowers are beautiful! Hope you get your oxygen machine fixed, my Dad had one and we were constantly having to call them for something. Have a blessed day, HUGS!
