Happy Fathers' Day

June 16, 2019

Good morning.  It's only 5:40 a.m. and it's still a bit gray outside.  It's supposed to be rather nice for a few hours, then we are supposed to be getting rain.  I hope the rain holds off for a while because there are a lot of barbeques planned for today.  Dads everywhere are being celebrated, and I hope they all have an awesome day.

Last evening, Bobby and his wife Amber and I went to the Paris Cabaret for dinner and an evening of musical entertainment.  During the intermission, all birthdays are acknowledged and we sing Happy Birthday.  Paris (the owner) made sure everyone knew that Bobby was Jazzy's brother.  During one of the songs that Paris sang, she came to our table and sang a bit to Bobby.  Here's a photo of Amber and Bobby.

Needless to say, we all had a super good time.  Our meal was great (prime rib) and the entertainment was superb.  I've seen the show before, but there were some new numbers that I hadn't seen.  I'm so glad we went.  I tried to take a couple of videos, but I wasn't doing so good.

I did manage to get a video of Jazzy singing one song.  I only missed a couple of the first notes.  This is one of my favorites.  I'm not sure about the volume so you'll probably have to turn the volume up.  Enjoy!  Please forgive the men walking by.  The men's room door is behind my chair.

Remember I said a while ago that I was going to do Christmas a little different this year?  Well, I have already given out a few of my presents, and I have to tell you it's been so much fun.  It's such a treat to see the look of surprise on someone's face and then the smile that follows.  If you have someone that you usually give several gifts to, try handing the gifts out one at a time throughout the year.  Let me know if you enjoy it too.

I've been sort of busy (not sure doing what) so I haven't had a chance to work on new quick pages.  However, I dug into my archives and brought out this one from several years ago.  I thought it might be good for photos of Dad on his special day.  Have fun with it.

If you have a problem with the link, let me know and I'll make a new link.  I was thinking of going shopping for a few groceries today, but it's going to rain so I think I'll wait and go tomorrow.  I think instead, I'll play on my laptop and make some new quick pages.

I've been watching SHOP LC and I have to tell you that they have some of the most beautiful exoctic gemstone jewelry.  Nope, I'm not shopping, but I do love seeing all these beautiful pieces.  I've loved rocks and gems since I was a little girl.  I had some awesome rock collections when I was a kid.  Back then, it was common to be able to find rose quartz and a few other pretty rocks on the ground.  Not so anymore.

Now I'm off to make a fresh cup of coffee.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Wonderful to read you have such a good time at the porch and that you can enjoy some better weather!
The photos of the loving squirels brought a smile to my face. They are such funny creatures!
You have quite some roses in your yard! And I love the story of the rose bush that made roots again at a distance of the original one!
I try to cut back each spring the roses we have. Most of the time it does them good, and they are blooming quite happy at the moment.
Oh, happy belated birthday to Bobby! I hope it wasn;t too hard for him to do the lawn. He is a wonderful guy to do all that work for you.
You are quick with your Christmas presents. I have to start with them soon too, because it is better to collect them bit by bit, to be ready at time LOL!
I have a kind of busy day ahead, so I better do some last minute designing to finish a kit then go blogging then there is more planned.
Gosh, sometimes the days pass by too quick to my liking.
Have a wonderful week ahead my friend, hopefully with lots of good times at the porch with Pogo.
Hugs
Kyra
