HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUDREY

December 1, 2016

Good morning.  The sun is shining and today will be in the low 50's again.  I can totally dig it!!!  Well, Pogo went to the beauty salon yesterday, and this time we gave him a different look.  It will take a few days before I know if I like it or not.  I'll try to get a new photo of him to share.

Today is daughter Audrey's birthday.  She's my first born, and I wish her a beautiful day.  Audrey, I hope your special day is filled with sunshine, flowers and laughter.  I love you Sweetie.

My new Christmas cards and calendars came a couple days ago.  Oh my, I am soooo happy with them.  I've already addressed a batch of the cards, and put them in the mail yesterday.  Each day I'll address another batch of envelopes until all my cards are in the mail.

Today is December 1st, and here is the December page from this years calendar.

Today is also the beginning of the Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies event.  If you click on the link below the logo shown here, it will take you to the blog where all the contributions are.  I just had a peek at all the goodies, and oh my, you're going to love them.  Here is the logo:

And here is my contribution to this wonderful Scrapbooking Freebie event.  Enjoy!!

Yesterday while Pogo was at the beauty salon, dwarf Helen and I went shopping at Walmart.  I picked up most of my groceries and the yarn I need to start a new Delft Blue and Wildflower afghan.  This will be for next year.

Later today I'll pack up a box with some of my lapghans and scarfs, and mail them off to the Lakota children at St. Joseph's Indian School in South Dakota.  They are one of my pet charities.  DIL Janet says she will help me make more scarfs for the children.

Next time I get out shopping, I need to pick up a lot of dog and cat food, as well as treats, to drop off at Ace Hardware for the local animal shelters.  Obviously, all the animals are another of my pet charities.

I'm hoping to be able to start mailing some of my packages out by next week.  Christmas is sneaking up on me really quick!!  I also have to mail Pogo's letter to Santa out this week.  He's hoping that Santa will have a folding set of steps for him so that he can climb up on the big sofa all by himself.

Well, my arm is starting to ache now, so it's time for me to go sit in my lounge chair and give the arm a rest.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
I can't wait to see Pogo's new look. I bet that he feels wonderful after he has been pampered. I do hope that you can get a couple of pictures. He is handsome no matter what kind of hair cut he has!

Oh I had forgotten that the Blog Train started today. What a neat thing that is. I will go and take a peek too. I have some CT work to do today. The designer that is having surgery just put out a new kit called Snowy Yuletide and it is a beauty. I did a page for her last night. This kit is really large and very beautiful.

Happy Birthday Audrey! I wish that she has the most awesome day filled with all things special. What a great day when your birthday comes along and Happy Birthday to you to Edna. Just think that was the day that you brought your daughter into the world and so of course you have to share this special day.

My sister just called. The wildfires are getting closer to where my niece lives. They are not sure if they will be evacuated or not. If the wind shifts then they will be fine but if not then they have to leave. So my sister said just put the kids and the dogs in the car and head this way.
They didn't get to come home for Thanksgiving. One son was playing football in Nashville and broke his arm and had to have surgery so they spent that week in Nashville at the hospital, then a week later the other son playing football fell into a unseen hole and broke his foot so my niece has had her hands full and now this.
They think that this was arson. It just makes me sick to see and hear of all of the destruction that is going on. The poor animals, and people. My heart is so broken from all of this.

I had better go. I have tons of things that I need to try and do today now that I am more mobile. I just ohhhed and ahhhed over the delft blue yarn. I cannot wait to see it. I like your charities. They sound like good ones. You are such a giving soul. I love that about you Edna.

Take care and talk to you soon... Love, Beth and Cisco

Happy Birthday to Audrey!
Your quickpages are really lovely, good contribution to the blogtrain!
Glad you could do the shopping together with Helen. Makes me feel more to easy, specially now with that arm of yours.
So you have been busy and will be the next few days with the cards and all. Well, it is something you can do without straining your poor arm too much.
I should write a few Christmas cards too and send them soon. Perhaps this weekend will be a good time.
Looking forward to see a photo of Pogo and his new look. You've made me curious!
You have a wonderful day,
Hug
Kyra
