A Lesson Learned

Good morning.  Tis a lovely day with temps in the sixties and lots of sunshine.  It definitely feels like Fall is setting in.   If it stays like this, it will be gorgeous!

Wow, yesterday was certainly a busy day.  When I finished posting my blog, I started right in moving things around to make room for the fridge delivery guys.  Thank goodness I did because they came about an hour later.  Wow, talk about being early!  But I was ready so all is well. 

The old new fridge went out and the new new fridge came in.  A few days ago, I ordered some shelf liners for inside the fridge.  They arrived a couple days ago but I saved them for the new replacement fridge.  They will make it easier for me to clean up any spills inside the fridge. 

Sad to say the other new fridge (in the house) is also making icicles.  So I guess I'm going to have to call now to have the serviceman come out and check that one.  First I'll check it myself again to make sure the icicles come back after being wiped off. 

This weekend I'm hoping to get the work on the fronts steps done.  We have a little bit more cement repair to do, then they can be painted.  In a couple more weeks, the burner service guy will be here to clean out the furnace.  I don't turn on the heat until after the furnace has been cleaned.  Not that I'm planning on turning on the heat any time soon. (I hope!)

Today I'd like to share a funny story that my friend Rhoda sent to me.  Thanks Rho, I enjoyed it!

FOUR WORMS AND A LESSON TO BE LEARNED

A minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon.  Four worms were placed into four separate jars.  The first worm was put into a container of alcohol.  The second worm was put into a container of cigarette smoke.  The third worm was put into a container of chocolate syrup.  The fourth worm was put into a container of good clean soil.

At the conclusion of the sermon, the Minister reported the following results:
The first worm in alcohol ......Dead.

The second worm in cigarette smoke ...Dead.
The third worm in chocolate syrup ...Dead.

The fourth worm in good clean soil ...Alive. 

So the Minister asked the congregation, "What did you learn from this demonstration?"

Maxine was sitting in the back and quickly raised her hand and said....."As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won't have worms!"

That pretty much ended the service!
