You Are Not Alone

July 29, 2018

Good morning.  My goodness, look at the calendar.  We're almost out of this month of July.  From here on, the rest of the year flies by much quicker than the first half.  Yeesh!

Today is another gorgeous day (except for the stickiness).  Right now, temps are still in the seventies with a teeny breeze.  In another hour or two, temps will be back up in the eighties and very sticky.  I remember when I was a little girl, there was nothing like a hot sizzling summer day.

Half way to mid life, my body let me know that it preferred less sizzle and more balmy.  The closer I get to eighty, the more I like that word "balmy."  Temps between 72 and 82 degrees with a bit of a breeze is just perfect.

Folks, I found a picture on the web and I just had to borrow it.  It has such a soothing effect on the soul.  When a person is traveling on a lost sort of life path, it's good to know that someone is watching out for us.  I just feel that this picture helps you feel that you are not alone.

With all the guts and gory stuff in the news all the time, it's so refreshing to stumble across items about the good folks and how they help to make life better and easier for others.  I found this next picture on the web and just had to borrow this one too.

This story really makes my heart happy.  Our fur babies give us so much love and joy.  It always makes me smile to see someone go an extra mile to make their fur babies' lives better.

I haven't been doing very much these past few days.  The mugginess tends to drain most of my energy.  But I do get to catch up on some TV re-runs that I may have missed, and make phone calls to folks that I haven't talked with in quite a while.

This coming Monday, (tomorrow) I have an appointment at the car dealership to have my car checked so that I can get my new safety sticker.  The one I have now runs out on Tuesday.  Wow, talk about cutting it close to the wire!   So, unless I get up really early tomorrow morning, I'll be posting here a bit later in the day.

Gosh, it's taking me all morning to type this post.  In between typing, I've been answering the phone, answering the knock on the door, helping Joe to set up the new bird feeder/bath, etc.  Ah, but that's the story of my life.  I guess one would call it multi tasking.  I don't plan it.  It just turns out that way.  Right now I'm waiting for some photos and a video to upload to my laptop so that I can post them here.  I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to share them.

Meanwhile, today I do have another new quick page for you.  With this one, I was intrigued about how to put the little birds in the cages and to turn one cage into a frame.  It's light and airy.  Have fun with it.

Now I think I'll wash the breakfast dishes and grab a cold bottle of water while I do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay cool and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna, you would never make it in Texas. We are having 102 degrees to 108 most days and no rain for a long time. I like warm weather but his is too much for an 89 year old.
