Speedy Get Well Wishes For Sean

July 19, 2018

Good morning.  Today is really nice.  The temps have dropped a bit and the sun is shining.  A super comfy day to be outdoors.  This is good because Pogo and I have to go out.  He has a doctor appointment right after lunch.  Not to worry, it's just a check up.  Got to keep this little guy healthy.

I got a phone call yesterday morning informing me that my stepson Sean had been rushed to the hospital the night before for an emergency surgery on his heart.  Oh my gosh, this is very much like what happened to his father.  I'm glad to say that he came through the surgery and hopefully will be on the mend really soon.

DIL Janet is going to see about taking me to visit with Sean after work today.  I do not drive in to Boston.  I remember many years ago when I could do it, but then the traffic, all the one way streets and the lack of parking became more than I could deal with, so I just don't drive there anymore.

DIL Janet came by yesterday after work and we got caught up on all our news.  She was away on vacation a couple weeks ago, and then last week she had dentist visits and wasn't feeling so great.  For supper we had Stouffers mac and cheese.  This is her favorite and it's soft and easy to chew.  For dessert we had popsicles.  The mugginess was getting to me, and the coldness of the popsicle felt really good.

Today I have more photos from my garden.  In one patch, there is a collection of different daylilies.

Pretty maids all in a row.  Here they are separately.

Well, yesterday was another of those days where I was busy all day long, but there isn't a hint of what I was doing to show for it.  I'm pretty good at this.  Although I must say that I did fill up a bag for the trash bin and a bag for the recycle bin.

Now I think I'm going to refresh my coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I will say a prayer for Sean that he recovers quickly. I don't blame you for not driving in Boston. I have been there and wouldn't drive either. Those were the days when I could (and did) walk a lot and I found it was much easier to walk places than to drive.

Your flowers are beautiful. I used to have lots of different lilies, but my garden has become very overgrown and they were choked out. I so want to get out there and get things looking pretty again.

Take care and give Pogo a kiss for me. Hope his doctor appointment went well.
