Quirky Doggie Habits

July 27, 2018

Good morning.  Oh, what a beautiful morning!  Pogo and I have already stepped out onto the porch to enjoy the feel of the morning coolness on us.  We'll be staying indoors most of today with the A/C on.  It's going to be a hot one, Charlie Brown.

Today will be a good day to finish the red, white and blue dolly outfit.  Last night I finished the bottom ruffle, and now I just have to make the hat.  Then maybe I'll start another outfit.  Purple sounds nice.  I'll have to check my yarn stash to see what colors I have.  (That's a joke.  I probably have most every color!)

Does your fur baby have any real quirky habits?  My Pogo does.  He gets hungry late at night, so I give him his plate of food.  While he's eating, the food manages to scatter itself all around his plate.  That's when he comes to me so that I will gather all the food together in one little pile on the plate.  Then he proceeds to continue eating.

When Pogo is finished eating everything on his plate, he comes to me looking for more food.  So of course I go to the kitchen and make up another plate of food for him.  Once I set the plate on his food mat, he checks it and then goes to have a nap either on his chair or his little sofa.  I think I have this figured out.  Pogo just wants to make sure that he has food for the next morning.  I know he's going to do this, but it's more fun to just humor him.

Speaking of doggies, here's a list that I found on the web that I thought would be good to share.  It's a list of human foods that your doggie can and can't eat.

Yesterday, the mailman brought me a package.  It was the new bird feeder/fountain that I had ordered.  It uses batteries, so I have to check my battery supply.  Joe says he will pick me up a few things at the market later today, so if I need them I can add the batteries to my shopping list.  Once this is up and running, I'll take photos.

This weekend, my youngest great grandbaby will celebrate his first birthday.  Happy Birthday Xander.  I'm wishing you a healthy, prosperous life.  I love you sweetie.  Here's a photo of this handsome little fellow.

Well, that's about all my news for today.  I'm off to do a bit of blog reading while I finish my coffee.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Tell Pogo I've found another cutie....xander. He look like a doll sitting there. You have a beautiful family...including Pogo. I still love him too. (lol) My fur babies have all kind of crazy little things they do. I text my son yesterday while he was at work and told him Milo has a new career....Humping queen. I know he need to be neutered but I doesn't want him to have anymore trauma in his life. I really do think he was abused by those others that had him before me. My son put him out of his room one night last week and he was upset for a while. I had to console this little baby. The problem was, he wouldn't go to sleep and my son has to get up very early to go to work. My son think I have all 3 spoiled rotten and I probably do. If it's raining Babs will not go outside. I tried to get her out on a rainy day and she went to the door, looked up at me like she was calling me stupid and went sit on her sofa. I laughed very hard. I told her okay, use the pads. Have a great day.

My goodness! George eats exactly like Pogo! The food has to be clumped together. Sometimes I have to put it back in the can and stir it up, rescooping the same food but it must appear to be fresher somehow and therefore acceptable. I finally found a flavor they like, but then again there's no guarantee they will like it next week. Sigh.
A bird feeder/fountain? That sounds interesting, waiting to see pictures.

Glad the bit of glass didn;t make a very bad injury! Still not nice at all but, I am happy it is already healing.
As I read your posts you got at least some rain, here (talking about our area) not much at all.
Oh, what a great service that the postman takes your mail in!
Wish we had such a service! Here we get even not mail every day, and just the other day a lot of mailboxes were taken away from the street. It wasn;t profitable enough!!! Have to say that the mail isn;t in hands of the government anymore, it is a company, and companies want to make profits!
(I think it was a bad decision).
Now have to make some kind of post on my blog, to show I am still alive, LOL! Not all too much happened here.
You take care, hope you foot will be healed quickly.
Have a wonderful week.
Hug
