Good morning. It's early, only 6:30 a.m. But I woke up so I thought I might just post on my blog now because I won't have much time later. I thought Pogo and I could do some errands on the way home from the auto dealer this morning.
Then, if my packages from Amazon come early, we can take them over to Deanne's house. I ordered pool floaties for Aurora and Xander. Pink for Aurora, and blue for Xander.
Last night, Pogo ate up everything I had cooked up for him, and didn't save anything for breakfast this morning. However, I did have a can of corned beef hash on the shelf, so that's what we're having for breakfast. I do have other food, but it's all frozen and I don't feel like trying to cook it up right now. Maybe while we're out, I'll treat my little guy to a hamburger from Wendys or MacDonalds.
Well, today I have some photos and a little video of the new bird feeder/fountain. Yesterday, Joe set it up. We put water in it and turned it on. Oh my, what fun! This first photo shows the new feeder.
Here's a little video that I took to show how awesome it sounds when it is on. Enjoy.
I took the rest of these photos from the porch through the screen. Obviously, they don't come out so good but you can see the subjects. We set the new feeder up in the little garden by the shed. It's near another feeder that my friend Mary Ann had given to me a few Christmases ago. My little birds, and the chipmunks, love it.
In these photos, there's a little chickadee enjoying a bit of lunch. From there, he goes up to check out the new feeder. He's perched on top of the shepherd's hook on the left side.
Next the sparrows come to have some lunch and check out the new addition. I've circled the little guy to make it easy to find him. Finally, he flew up to the new feeder to check it out. A lot of the little birds were sitting in the tree just waiting for me to go inside so that they could check it all out.
The fountain has an auto switch that will let it turn on every day at the same time for whatever amount of time it is set for. You can set if for one to four hours. You do have to keep an eye on it because the water does evaporate, and splash out. So sometimes you have to put more water in it.
I also don't suggest leaving the fountain on auto (or running) if you're not going to be home to keep an eye on it. You don't want the water to run out while the unit is running. It might be a little bit of extra work, but it is such a fun thing to sit and watch.
Now I want to drink my coffee and do a bit of blog reading before it's time to get ready to go out. So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay cool and have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Great ideas for the feeders.
What fun! I couldn't envision what a feeder/fountain would look like. I've never seen anything like that before.
The pool floaties are adorable.
