And The Thunder Rolled!

July 17, 2018

Good morning.  Today is another gorgeous day like yesterday, except there's a bit more of a breeze.  My flag is doing the "fandango."  It's probably trying to impress the leaves that are waving at all the cars that go by.

Yesterday afternoon, we got thunder showers.  Oh boy!  Did we ever!  But then it stopped as quickly as it started.  There's a chance that we could get more of them later today.  That would be nice.  Pogo and I stood out on the porch yesterday and watched the heavy rain fall.  It felt refreshing.

It was a lazy day yesterday.  I had good intentions, but they all went down the drain with the dish water.  Instead, I checked out the new kits at Pink Paradox, and spent a few hours making some new quick pages.

While I was uploading the new kits to MediaFire, I came across an old kit that I thought some of you might like.  So, I downloaded the links to share here.  I made this kit ten years ago, so I hope you can use it.

Here are your download links:

I went looking in my photo archives and found this collage of photos that I had taken six years ago today as part of a photography assignment.  We were taking photos by candlelight, and Jazzy (who was twelve years old then) agreed to be my model.  We used a crystal tulip candle, and sat out on her front porch after dark.  This is such a wonderful memory.

There's not much happening here today.  I have a new stack of magazines and catalogues to go through and bag up for the recycle bin.  I can do this while sitting out on the porch so maybe this can be today's project.

On that happy note I'll take my leave. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,
I have missed talking to you this week but have really been busy on my end. Friday I will be home all day (as far as I know) and I hope that we will get a chance to catch up! My sugar dropped twice more. I did go to the hospital this time and tomorrow I have more appointments. This one will include a new diabetes doctor.

My Gastro doctor called the hospital for my stomach ulcer records and I am waiting to hear back from him about working me in should they have a cancelation. I really hope that he can get me in. (He has samples for me lol) and see if we can speed up the healing.

I love love love the page with Jazzy holding the candle. What a gorgeous model she made for you. That girl of yours is really photogenic!!!! I cannot believe that I have practically watched her grow into succh a lovely young lady these past few years.. Such a beauty and talented too!

No rain on this end for us in Texas. In fact we have what is called a high ridge of pressure building and trapping the heat. We will be in the triple digits again for the remainder of the month the weather man/woman says.

I am not sure if I told you but I cut my hair. Actually someone else cut my hair but it is very short. I have received a ton of compliments on it and I really like it. Just a good old fashioned short haircut. A neckline. I do like it. It is cooler and all those dead ends are gone!

If I get home early enough tomorrow I will call you. If not it will be Thursday evening or Friday. Give Pogo my love and hugs for you too... Love you very much my sweet friend. Talk to you soon... xxx Beth
