Good morning. Right now, it's looking quite cloudy and damp outside my window. Hopefully, this will change a bit later today. A few hours of sunshine a day would be oh so nice.
I've been watching the Jewelry Television Channel for the last few hours, and I must say it is not easy to behave one's self and not buy anything. Their jewelry is absolutely fabulous. Especially when they showed an orange Mexican Fire Opal bracelet. The thing that stopped me from ordering was the $400 price tag. I don't really need a $400 bracelet. Oh but it really was a beauty!!
When I was younger, I enjoyed wearing all my pretty jewelry. Then came the day when I discovered that it was all missing. The only pieces that I had left were the ones on my hands. To be perfectly honest, these two were the most expensive. The rest of the jewelry had so many wonderful memories for me. But that's life I guess.
I have to share another photo of my favorite little guy. This morning, he is on the lounge chair, all curled up in a Sherpa and micro fleece throw. See how he snuggles down inside his blankets? I think it's just too cute.
Yesterday, I dug a rather pretty photo out of my archives to show the difference in the weather yesterday versus a year ago the same time. Last year, a lot of my roses were still blooming even though we had snow. Is there anything quite so pretty as a rose covered with snow? To me, it's a sign of hope of good things to come.
I also dug out some photos with reflections, and have this one to share with you. One day on my way to work, I stopped by the roadside to take some photos of this crow standing in a puddle looking for food. I had to lean out the car window to take these photos, but they were worth it.
Early this afternoon, I have a follow up appointment with my orthopedic doctor. He's a sweetie, but will probably be retiring sometime soon. I guess I'll have to start getting used to seeing his associate. It's just another reminder that I'm becoming quite ancient. I've been seeing this doctor for at least thirty years. Gosh, where has all the time gone?
Oh gosh, I have to laugh. Pogo has decided to join me on the sofa, so I picked him up and put him beside me. He saw the camera sitting next to me and promptly crawled under the purple furry throw. I guess he figures I already have enough photos of him. This little guy is a constant source of joy for me.
Ok, enough chatter. It's time to rustle up some breakfast. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

I know the feeling when you have been robbed. It happened to us once and we also had a credit card stolen before "identity theft" was the in thing. Our card balance shot up to $14,000 over night and the company called because it was clearly not our normal spending habits. The card was cancelled and the credit card company not only absorbed the costs, but found and prosecuted the perpetrator. I wonder if they are still so accomodating ... not that I want to find out :) Anyway the feeling of being violated leaves a bitter taste ... then I look around and realize that what is really important to me is still in tact ... so I got over it. Sorry about losing your jewelry ... so sad.
We have fog today. The temperature is 43 which would ordinarily be nice, but it is gray and we can't even see the lake. I went out and the driving wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be. I have a feeling this is going to be a long, hard winter ... glad to have friends around like yourself to share my frustrations with and enjoy your company at the same time.
Pogo is just so adorable, I don't know how you can keep your hands off of him. I would be hugging him constantly. Izzi is not a huggy kind of dog ... she is a doer and that is what I need ... someone to keep me doing :) Well Edna, you have a perfectly wonderful day and I will see you tomorrow ...

Pogo is adorable. Such a tiny little face. I love how he snuggles
It has been sunny here the last couple of days. It does change the mood when it shines.
Your not ancient just seasoned, hah.
And.....I am right there with you.
((((HUGS))))
I too did wear lots more of jewelry when I was younger, now most of the time I have only my two most important rings on my fingers, the ring I received from my parents when reaching the age of 18, with the little crown on it and my two initials, and my wedding ring on the other hand.
Still have lots of jewelry lying around and sometimes I wear some earrings or a little pendant.
Hope all hoes well with your visit to the doctor may be he will hold on for a couple of years?
Are we getting ancient? Porbably, but I like the word "seasoned"Debbie used in her comment LOL!
Such seet photo of Pogo again. He is a real hunk!
Hugs

I used to love jewelry, but never had any of the expensive pieces. Things have changed over time, or maybe it's this new lifestyle. I have not worn a single piece of jewelry in over a year and a half now. I'm not sure I could even get earrings in any more.
