Good morning. The sun is shining, but there is frost all over my car. Pogo and I are going out in a few hours, so as long as the frost is gone by then, it's okay. I'm watching the same Jewelry Television channel again today. With so much stuff on TV that I don't like, this is a bit refreshing. I love learning about the different gemstones, and seeing the beautiful jewelry.
Although I will say, that yesterday they had a couple of hours of some of the ugliest jewelry I ever did see. I can't imagine how that host kept a smile on her face as she said over and over " Oh my, isn't this just gorgeous? I really must have this piece!" I wouldn't have given five cents for most any of it. But then I'm quite picky.
I'm waiting to see some of the new garnets that have recently hit the market. They have such a fire inside of them and are just gorgeous. Now this is one thing they might tempt me with. We'll see. I also love the Chrome Diopside, the green diamonds, the Mexican Fire Opal and the Ethiopian opals that they have been showing. Who am I kidding? I love ALL the gems!!
Before I forget, I want to thank Debby for her comment. I like the word "seasoned" a lot better than "ancient". Seasoned seems to fit so much better. Thanks, Debby.
Yesterday, I had my follow up appointment with the orthopedic doctor. Everything is stable, and I am coping rather well. When I have pain that can't be ignored, I take a pill and get off my feet for a while. So no big deal.
Once the clouds cleared away yesterday, the sun came and what a beautiful day it was! I took my camera with me so that I could get some new photos. Here's one that I took of the sky from the doctor's parking lot.
I passed by several homes that had some Holiday yard decorations up and stopped to get a couple of photos.
On my way home, I stopped to get a photo of the sun shining in the mirror on my car door. I thought it made sort of a pretty picture.
Oh my, if you could see the gorgeous bracelet they are showing on the TV screen!! It is Mystic Topaz set in sterling silver. Mmm, mmm, mmm!!! Time to get busy here.
My my, I just got a surprise. I've been waiting for the contractor to get back to me with a start date to finish the work on the house. Well, my goodness! Two trucks just pulled into the driveway, and some workmen got out. Woo Hoo! They are starting the work now. Well, I'll be!
I'm off now to get dressed, and get things together for my appointment this morning. I'm meeting with my financial advisor to make sure that I can grow old with dignity. (gosh, that sounds a bit pompous!) So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Now that was a nice surprise, the working men arriving!
so soon your house will look great again!
Lots of wind, some rain, expected today. They will even shut a couple of entrances of the dykes here, just in case. I can see the wind is already blowing and by reaching the afternoon it will be real storm, I think.
Not a good time to be outside, but I do have to. So I better go not too late this morning, may be i can walk without the brick in my pocket LOL!
Have a lovely day.
Hug
Kyra
