Ooooh, A Little Heat Wave Coming!

December 19, 2013

Good morning.  Today is supposed to be a mix of cloudy and sunny with temps getting up to about 41F degrees.  I like it!  I did not get out yesterday to do my shopping, so maybe sometime today.  We'll see.

With the warmer temps for the next few days, I'm hoping that all the ice in the yard will melt.  It will be nice to see bare ground again.  Joe has been hinting that he would like to see a nice flat even driveway.  Ours has a few holes and is not quite so flat anymore.  I told him we will have to wait and see what next year brings.

I've been looking up some places to visit while I'm in Florida (next March).  I'm so hoping to see lots of different birds to photograph.  So far, I've found three places that sound really good.  Next, I'll have to check and make sure they allow small pets.  I can bring Pogo's stroller with me to make things easier.

Speaking of my handsome little Pogo, I have an adorable photo to share with you.  Helen took this photo with her phone one day when Pogo and I were on our way out to do some errands.  Isn't he just precious?

The other night when Joe and I went to deliver the dog blankets and food to Ace Hardware, we looked to see if they maybe had dry cat food.  They did not, but Joe found this adorable little pet bed and insisted that I get it for Pogo.  Of course, I did just that!

It's a doggie bed shaped like a Santa hat, and as soon as I got home, I set it up and put one of Pogo's little blankets in it.  So far, Pogo hasn't gone inside it, but he has checked it out a couple of times, and moves it about the living room.  I guess he hasn't made up his mind yet about whether or not he wants to sleep in it.

Well, it's 5 o'clock now (a.m.) so I think I'll go back to bed and see if maybe I can catch a few more winks before it's time to start this new day.  Till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Now I am willing to bet Joe didn't have to twist your arm to get that little bed ... it is too cute and Pogo, if he ever gets in it, will love it. Maybe you should bribe him with a little treat in the back of it. He will go in to get it and then realize how cozy it is. Just a suggestion ... that is how I used to train Izzi to crate when we were at the trials. She has a crate at home that she sleeps in at night but the door is never closed. At the trials they have to be closed, so that took some getting used to.

Our weather has warmed up, but not enough to melt anything. We still have white ground cover and word has it that we may be gettin more over the weekend ... a lot more. That doesn't bode well for you because what we get is usually on its way to you ... hmmmm. This is going to be a long winter and I can understand why you are already talking about Florida. It is warming just to think about it. Will you be near Queen Jester when you get down there? The two of you could stir up some fun, I'm sure.

Today is wrapping day. I think I am finished but I am never sure until I wrap and make sure all the piles are equal, if you get my gist. Tomorrow, finally, I am taking my daughter out to get a new bed. Hers is shot and she has a lot of back aches from sleeping on it. With all of the other aches and pains she has, she doesn't need that.

Be careful when you go out ... sometimes if snow melts then refreezes it leaves a thin layer of ice underneath ... all the better to slip on, my dear:( You have a fun day shopping and big hugs to Pogo ... I love that little hat. He is just sooooooo adorable.

That would look so sweet on my dash, but due to space limitations and the fact I already have way too much stuff in here, I will have to pass.
It sure is cute though and I bet he ventures in there on his own sweet time.

That Santa hat is soooooo cute!!
I am sure Joe had not a hard ob to persuade you buying it LOL!
The photo Helen made is cute, I only feel a bit sorry for Pogo, his hair disappeared and he doesn;t look too happy about it, grin!
Still be careful if you step outside, that melting and re-freezing snow/ice is the most dangerous!
Hope you had a good sleep and you;ll have a great day.

What a great little bed for Pogo and I love the photo of him with his little hat.

Wow 41F for you.....we had that on Wednesday but it was 41C (105.8F) and yesterday was even hotter.....43.4C(110F) was the official temp but while we were in the car going to my sisters the temp got up to 47C (116.6). It was so hot it was almost unbearable. Thankfully a cool change has blown in this evening (Friday).

I hope your warmer temperatures managed to melt your ice/snow making it easier for you to get out and about.

Enjoy your day Edna and your mini heatwave.....lol.

Hugs
