Oh Christmas Tree, You Beautiful Tree!

December 10, 2013

Good morning.  Boy oh boy!  This work crew is very good!  Just a little while ago, at 7:30 a.m., they were already outside getting ready to work on the house.  It's not raining or snowing at the moment, so hopefully the weather can hold off until they finish up today.

Poor Pogo isn't quite sure what it is he has to bark at, but he's barking and doing his best to scare off the unknown.  The curtains are closed, so he can't see what's happening outside.  Poor little kid!

In a few hours, we will be going out to my appointment at the nail salon, but then we will be coming right back home.  It's too cold to stay out any longer than necessary.  Oh Spring, beautiful Spring, once Christmas is over, please do come as soon as you can.

Last night, I set up my little Christmas tree and decorated it.  It's a fiber optic tree so the colors on it are always changing.  Here are a couple of photos that I took of our little tree.  In the second photo, I had turned off the lights.  Isn't it pretty?

I tried taking photos with different settings on the camera, and I'm not sure what happened in this next photo, but I rather like it.  I think I moved the camera too soon after touching the shutter button.  It looks like a real burning bush!!  I couldn't do this again if I tried!

There really isn't much news for today so this will have to be a short post.  I think I'll take Pogo and curl up in my lounge chair and watch TV for a while.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Poor Pogo. It will be over soon, Pogo. Just hang in there.

I love your tree. It is so pretty! And I like the effect of the moving lights. Wow! Really impressive.

Have a great day, Edna!

Way ahead of me again, Edna. Great that you have your adorable tree up already ... and I would be feverishly trying to figure out how I took that last picture ... that is awesome. We will, hopefully, get our tree up this week, but it won't be today because my daughter has a dentist appointment this afternoon.

I like your idea of snuggling up in a chair and relaxing. I am feeling really pooped this morning. I am trying to fight off a cold. My nose is getting stuffy and the rest is yet to come. I hope my immune system is up for this fight :)

I received your adorable card yesterday. There is just no end to Pogo. He is absolutly the cutest little guy ever ... Izzi says so too. Thank you for keeping me on your list ... I love the card.

It is supposed to get down to "0" here today with a wind chill of -15. Even Izzi is having problems with going out. Her little feet get cold and she trys holding them up out of the snow, but that doesn't work because she has three more feet that are freezing. I have never bought boots for her ... never thought I needed them, but I am thinking about it now. I wonder if she would even keep them on. She doesn't like her feet messed with.

That about covers it for the moment. I am seriously thinking about that chair and blanket ... see what you do to me ... or maybe I should say, for me. You have a wonderful day Edna and sloppy wet kisses from Izzi.

Good Morning, thanks for stopping by and leaving such nice words. I so enjoy reading your blog. Love your little tree and the extraordinary light effects on the 3rd photo. So glad you and Pogo can snuggle together and watch TV (snooze) together, my cats and I do that every chance we get...helps to restore us.
I think we will finally begin to see some thawing today as we are to get out of this deep freeze and get above the freezing point today with some actual sunshine (that we haven't seen in 6 days). Not a fan of all the ice we got (we are never prepared for this much ice as we so seldom get more that 1/4 to 1/2 inch, but this 3-5 inches is not any fun. Have "cabin fever" so hope my skating rink in my driveway disappears today! LOL
Have a great rest of the week and be safe and warm. Hugs, Mat

That last image looked a bit like a psychedelic Christmas tree from the sixties - groovy man.

Your little tree looks adorable.
Oh I sure hope it will not become colder! They say Friday will be the coldest day of the week here, still a couple of degrees above the zero point, so we shouldn;t complain here yet!
What an amazing effect by the way, you had on the 3rd photo of your tree!!!
Glad the workmen are doing their job properly, hopefully it will be done with soon, it is too exhausting for Pogo LOL, having to bark all the time atwho knows who or what!
Stay warm and have a great day!
