Day One Of Year Eleven

January 18, 2018

Good morning.  The sun is shining, but it is cold outside.  Well, of course, it's Winter!  But in a couple months, it will be Spring.  Woo Hoo!

Well, today is the first day of my eleventh year here in Blog Land.  So, happy anniversary to me and I hope this is a super good year.  I took a photo of my very first post.  It was very short, with no photos.  It's amazing how gabby I've become over the years!  Today's post will be number 3304.

Actually, blogging has been very good for me.  I started it shortly after my hubby passed away, and it kept my mind busy and out of depressed places.  It got me into creative activities, and opened a whole new world of people to meet.  I've made some awesome nice friends, and I've even got to meet a few of them in person.

At some point, years ago, my daughter Audrey asked if I would leave my blog books to her.  That's when I decided that I would like to scatter a lot of family history and photos throughout it.  It would be something nice to leave for my future generations.

Enough of my prattle.  Last night I finished the baby blanket that I've been working on, and started making the little red baby hats again.  I need to finish these little red hats by the end of the month.  Then I'll give them to Deanne, and she can give them to the hospital of her choice.

I've already made up my "to crochet" list for this year.  It's quite an ambitious list so it may not all get done before the year is up.  If that happens (which it most likely will) then I'll just move the unfinished items over to next year's list.

Today I don't have any special plans.  I'm toying with the idea of going grocery shopping.  Mind you, I said "toying with the idea."  I haven't decided yet whether or not I want to go out in the cold.  I may wait until Saturday to go out.  It's supposed to be about ten degrees warmer then.

Before I go, let me share something that I borrowed from the web.  This image had me giggling when I first saw it.  It reminded me of myself.  hahaha.

Now I think I'll have another cup of coffee and do a bit of blog reading.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Happy anniversary, Edna! And congratulations on 10 years of blogging. I look back at my blog over the years and it's amazing how much it has changed. I guess we all change along with our blogs.

Your diet picture is so cute and definitely a problem with me.

Have a good day!

Oh Edna,
Ten years! I only started blogging full time about 6 years ago and even then there were a lot of off and on's. Not because I ran out of things to say but rather lots of surgeries and other ills.
I really enjoyed it when I found Blogger. I wasn't to happy with my other blog site. Anyway the only problem I can really call a problem was the issues, not once but twice with Blogger kicking me out. The first time was very distressing. The second time I believe I was hacked. So this is actually my 3rd time around and hopefully the 3rd time is a charm and not happen again.

I smiled reading your first blog post. How awesome. Yes now I think that I will take time to do a blog book. Maybe this year is the one.

Loved the baby photo. I have given up on dieting. Now I am just working on eating a bit healthier. I have lost 5 lbs with this flu/what ever bug. I haven't had an appetite for anything lately, but after talking with you about the hamburger I would sure love to have one. It has been the only thing that I can think of I would like.
My son is supposed to come tonight or tomorrow. Maybe I will ask him to bring me one. We have a place here that makes the old fashion good burgers. They are not huge but they are priced very reasonably and is made of real hamburger. Not the kind from McDonalds or the other fast food places.

I am headed over to catch up on your blog of what I have missed... Take care of yourself and give Pogo lots of love from me and Cisco.... Beth and Cisco...
