It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas

December 8, 2017

Good morning.  Tis looking a bit gray and cold outside.  That's okay, it can stay out there.  Spring will be here in a few months and I'll be waiting for it.  Deanne and I had an appointment this morning at the shooting range, but I've been a bit under the weather so we cancelled.

Sad to say, I think one of the bugs that are going around is trying very hard to catch me.  I've had a sore throat since yesterday afternoon.  Today I will try some Zicam to see if I can shorten this "bug's" stay.  Here's hoping it works.

This morning Deanne texted me to say that Jazzy's photo is in the newspaper again.  She sent me a copy of one photo from the newspaper.  I'll have to go online to see the other photos.  This weekend, Jazzy is taking part in a performance at her high school.  It's a murder mystery show and should be a lot of fun.  If there wasn't so much walking involved and so many stairs, I might be able to go to the school to see her.  Fortunately, Deanne will take photos for me.

Well, yesterday, Joe took a few more boxes to the Post Office for me.  I only have one more box to mail and it can go out next week.  What a super feeling!  Now I can focus on finishing up my local stuff.

Remember a while back I showed a picture of a pattern that I had bought along with the yarn to make it for my two youngest great granddaughters?  Well, it turned out that the pattern was for knitting and I prefer crochet.  So I looked around online and found me another pattern for a sleeveless hooded vest that is crocheted.  It came yesterday.  I think I'll like this pattern because it looks a bit more uncomplicated.  This one is for sizes 2 to 10.

Each night, I try to add a few rows to the Cranberry afghan before I doze off to dreamland.  Here's a photo I took a couple nights ago to show how the colors look together.  This one really is pretty.

When the mailman came yesterday, he had a big box for me.  It was from Kyra.  Oh wow!  Christmas is right around the corner and now I'm getting a bit excited.  I did not open the box yet.  I want to wait till I get my tree up.  I haven't decided if I'll put up my usual little tree, or the tiny one that I used last year.  Either way, I'm hoping to get it done this weekend.

Well, now I need to look up the newspaper online to have a look at the two photos they have posted of our Jazzy.  After that, I really need to do a load of laundry.  Maybe two.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
I am sorry that your under the weather. I am finally doing better with my eyes but now they are itching really bad so that is a sign of healing.

Oh your afghan is gorgeous. Your really good at picking out the right colors. I love them all. They are all beautiful. I would be hard pressed to say which would be my favorite because all of them are just so beautiful.

I am so glad that you got your package from Kyra. I know it must have been exciting for you to get it. I finally got my cards in the mail today. I was a few days late with my time line. I wanted them out before now.

Talk to you tomorrow... Hugs my dear friend from Cisco and I to you and Pogo. Love, Beth

Oh Edna, please get rid of that bug that is attacking you!
Let's hope it just passes and touched you a little bit only.

Love the color of you latest afghan.
Pity you cannot easily visit Jazzy's school where she performes. But you can see her in theatre, just like last time when you went there with a whole bunch! It must make you feel so proud every time you see her, and then also see her in the papers!
How tiny Pogo was when he just came to you. Cannot imagine he already is with you for so many years. He did find a real good home, for sure.
Oh, don;t talk about the tax stuff. Soon I will have to gather also the needed papers and send them to the accountant. Ouch.
I hate those things, but they have to be done.
Now have to make a little post on my blog.
Take care dear friend and beat that bug that is bothering you.
Hugs
Kyra
